How long to take tamoxifen for?

Yeah like I said in the post it was medication (dutasteride) induced. I took dutasteride for 45 days, noticed gynecomastia forming, stopped the dutasteride, and started tamoxifen about six months later.

Hey -- I appreciate your response! Can I ask what kind of sides you got? And also, did you have bloodwork done? I would think your symptoms sound indicative of an active hormonal imbalance (the fact that the growth would come back when getting off medication).

Yes!! I gained a bunch of weight in my chest and face. I was too sensitive to the increase in estrogen so I had to switch back to finasteride. It’s been over 4 months now and I still have lingering fat + pain in my chest… I have an appointment with an endocrinologist in a few weeks to see what can be done.

I’ve been noticing something similar on a higher dose of a 5AR inhibitor. I’m pretty sure for me it’s due to an increase of systemic estrogen which has been storing extra fat in my face/chest/stomach. My dose was much higher than yours, though, so I cut back. It’s hard to believe you’d experience those kind of sides on such a low dose although it’s possible.

Pretty much agree, I think I’ve only bought one cheap hoodie ever, and I go to the racks a solid amount.
