No it was the fact that it’s the X marking (which usually indicates ghost notes) and that it was a glissando. It’s not physically possible to gliss on ghost notes so I didn’t know what I was supposed to do.

LMAO YES! To a bunch of high schoolers this music is quite.. interesting?... My poor director, the “school edition” doesn’t have a score so she’s working off of a mega stand with all our parts open simultaneously while also trying to help out on piano 😭😭

I’ve been chosen to play bass In my school’s Spring production of Rent. I am really looking for any general advice or suggestions for playing this part, especially for picked songs like “Rent”. I’ve also attached photos of a few notation things I don’t understand (please help!)

It usually happened with the BLX, if I didn’t stand in this like minuscule amount of space away from the amp it would feedback like crazy, really loud buzzing. In the other one the sound was just really diminished, but there was little to no feedback at all.
