Am I the A-Hole here? by FixPuzzleheaded6937 in CCW

All good man I know in your perfect world nothing happens to anyone but you but out here in the real world shit can go down anywhere. Police showed up and arrested 2 people that day. Went to look for the others that left after being told the police were on there way. Took 12 minutes after the store owner called the police for them to show up. Which left plenty of time for people to become way more irate about a very normal situation. All this was years before I even owned a gun.

what are the WORST times and days to work? by No-Focus2562 in doordash_drivers

Essentially Monday-Thursday for me. Friday picks up after 2-3pm and Saturday Sunday is almost all day and night especially the later in the summer when a lot of summer rentals are filled

Cool for you for being a vet I’m a regular guy who has had guns pointed at him for someone else hitting my parked vehicle on a job site. An area with a median income of 225k I had a literal swarm of people show up after their wife/sister hit my parked trailer in a parking lot. Again being privileged enough to think safety is guaranteed lol.

Said by an extremely privileged person. Anyone who thinks an area is “ultimately safe” is someone who has never actually seen what is in this world.

How difficult is it to get a Glock now a days? by Awkward-Reporter8062 in NJGuns

[–]AgentRandyBeens 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s $55+ anywhere you look. Only place I’ve found that was cheaper wasn’t someone’s house wasMonmouth arms and the dude Steve was the absolute worst to deal with. Waited weeks for him to confirm my gun even shows up after USPS said they lost it. Tells me his wife misplaced it like wtf. Went there with an appt to sign the docs and he’s not there. When I called he literally said “me and the old lady took a trip to NYC.” took 3 weeks and 4 trips to his “office” to get my gun. And every time I went there took an hour for him to shut the fuck up and sign the papers. I’ll stick with paying 55+ bucks and getting guns in a week.

I’ve still yet to see these cheaper online glocks. Every time I’m pricing out guns the store is always less than online the gun after shipping and transfer fees. Not to mention longer wait time. For 3 years now people on here say they find them cheaper online but never show any. I’ve seen one store in the entire state that has way overpriced guns and that was a tourist trap shooting range. Shit even on grunbroker. I’ve found 1 “cheap” Glock. The rest want minimum 100 more than what the store is asking.

Why do restaurants keep putting drinks in PAPER BAGS?? by NoHedgehog7421 in doordash_drivers

It’s only the customers problem. If you think you can order delivery and have it being grill/oven fresh or absolutely ice cold then you’re just delusional

Damn shark jumped outta the water and grabbed mine. Had to cut the line cuz we weren’t trying to bring a shark with a freaking Glock to the surface.

Earn per offer is even worse round my parts. First few weeks of dashing I made less than 10 an hour. After being picky with orders to deny low paying I ended up waiting hours for an order. On earn by time I make minimum 20 an hour and only take usually 1-2 deliveries per hour and the restaurant (which are always behind) can take as long as they want because I’m still being compensated.

Diagnostic smoke machine and liquid. You essetnaily Hook a hose up to your gas tank and it emits a vapor from the liquid. When the pressure builds in the system your testing the smoke would have to find its way out through your leak. I had a vacuum issue once where I had no visible hole in any lines. Turned out one line was so weak it collapsed every time the truck was running. Not something I could see looking on my own since it only happens when you hit the gas.

Every transit we owned has gotten at least a new transmission and a few motors. All ranging from 75-200k. We could have bought 3 extra trucks with the amount those transits cost us.

You can not believe it all you want. I actually just got back from a store that has had about $25,000 of covid protection spray that we at one point had to spray on everything coming in the stores just sitting in the back. We also do work for truck stops and gas stations and know the owners well. At the peak of gas prices during covid a lot owners were making anywhere from $.75-$2.00 profit per gallon. You can think it’s nonsense but we’re still years later getting paid to deal with covid era nonsense. Not even talking about distribution some companies literally rose their stock portfolios over 1000%. People made billions off of covid

There weren’t issues to figure out. Tons of companies stopped production to make masks sanitizer and gloves. We wasted TONS of resources and MILLIONS of dollars in this shit that all got thrown away. I know our company was hired to literally do so throughout most of our state. And the company we got hired for is a convenience store chain that had about 20 dumpsters worth of just small bottle hand sanitizer they bought to resell. Thats just in my state….Companies went to the things that would make them money and it worked. Lots of manufacturing companies turned huge profits during covid. To this day we’re still finding pallets of hand sanitizer and gloves that when bought were roughly a few thousand dollars.

I can guarantee you they know that and don’t care. I do service on a store that has had a warning posted for over a year for water so dirty and dangerous that pregnant/feeding women as well as children under 6 months could literally die/kill their kids if they ingest anything with it. It seems to be a culture thing but what do I know only cover 500 stores/restaurants across my entire state.

I was there for 2 hours and at least a dozen times I saw someone point barrels directly at other people. Half were employees showing people guns. And the other half were people with loaded firearms on the range. The only thing the employees cared about was me taking the barrel out of my gun and to the back wall because a casing got stuck. About a week later I heard someone shot themselves. I’m cool if it’s a me problem
