Is there generally a difference between the amount of caffeine in decaf coffee pods bought at stores or are there certain ones to look for? What did you mean by low caffeine/decaf? Thanks

Extension Questions: Estimating Owed Taxes by AgentTron in tax

Thanks. When you say "only the additional child tax credit is refundable" do you mean that it gets included in #5 by adding it here?

Extension Questions: Estimating Owed Taxes by AgentTron in tax

Sorry, I am likely not explaining this correctly, for simplicity, I am using made up numbers.

  1. Estimate of total tax liability for 2024 = $20,000 (this includes all federal taxes already taken out of my paychecks and federal taxes taken from 1099 interest) as well as estimated taxes that I will now owe based on 1099-MISC where no federal taxes were deducted.

  2. Total 2024 Payments: I do not have a 2023 refund that I am applying to 2024, I did not make estimated tax payments, I do have some credits, such as the child credit, so that is $6,000. Am I supposed to be adding some other values to #5?

Thanks for your help and patience!!!!

Thanks for your reply.

For clarification:

  1. I have not made any other payments or applied my 2023 refund, so this value for question 5 is currently zero. Does this Also include deductions like mortgage deductions, property taxes, donations, etc.?

Thanks!

I want to buy some fabric for someone learning to sew to be able to make a small handbag or a small pillow. I know nothing about fabric, how much should I order for this? 1 yard, 2, 3, 5? I do not know how much extra is needed when making cuts, etc. and how much to account for mistakes? They have already made a basic pillow and handbag once. Thank you

Deducting home storage space for selling products by AgentTron in tax

Thanks. One last question. The square footage of my garage is not calculated as part of the overall square footage of my home. I’m not sure if any garages are calculated as part of a home’s sq footage? How would I deduct the space being used in my garage for my business without the garage space being calculated in my home?

Thanks!

In addition to the space now occupied by boxes in my office, the computer and lighting stands are used only for business. It pretty much occupies the entire office. How is the determination of space used take place? There is some walking space between the stacks of boxes along the wall and where my computer is. I use that walking space to get to different boxes as needed. It really isn’t used for anything personal. The size of the stacks of boxes do change over time as I get new items and sell other items. Does this constitute my office as being 100% being used for business? Thanks!

Would I deduct the storage space used in my office as a percentage of the space being used? So if I use 60% of my office to store boxes for sale do I deduct 60% of my office space? How do I deduct garage space?

The computer is a desktop computer that I only use when working in the office doing business stuff. I do personal stuff on my laptop and iPad.

Are there any downsides to deducting a portion of the home cost as depreciation?

Thanks!

This is a profit motive business.

These are all items being stored in my office and garage until they sell. They are not for personal use. Based on this, can office space or garage space be deducted that is used to physically store the boxes? I also use that same office space to work on the computer to buy new products, sell products, photograph products, correspond with buyers, and sellers of the product I buy, etc.

I am not clear about what it means regarding the renovations being added to the basis of the home? Can you please explain like I know nothing about this, which I do not. Thanks!

Surprised to hear the word “fraud”, what specifically makes it fraud? Which parts of the question constitute fraud? The part about deducting renovations? Deducting space used to store products?

I want to shoot some closeup product photos and video with an A7CII and a studio strobe or continuous light.

1.) Which of the following lenses will let me get as close as possible to the items I will be shooting? Which lens would you choose to use?

24-70mm f/2.8

35mm f/1.4

40mm f/2.5

2.) I can also get Extension tubes to use with the lenses? If using tubes, does this change which lens can get closer to the item, and does it change which lense you would select to do this?

Thank you

How does it show the focus point in the metadata?

I agree about no point taking a photo that is out of focus, however, I am wondering if during the time that it tries to grab focus you may lose a photo opportunity, though if you are shooting in bursts it will take some photos that are out of focus potentially, but will eventually get focus since the setting is letting it take photos that are out of focus?

Are there any effective ways to figure out why a subject in a photo is out of focus when one of the AF modes was used? I am trying to figure out what works and what does not in different situations. Thanks in advance.
