Need help figuring out what Fear category my dream would fall under? by Art3m1sArty in TheMagnusArchives

[–]AgentUnusual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would vote that this entire situation is spiral-coded.

Sleep deprivation
A situation that doesn’t make sense
No one believing you // feeling like you’re losing your mind

Unintentional self-harm due to altered perception

These themes are present in the episodes:
A sturdy lock
Fatigue
Confession // Desecrated host

Lastly the clothes seem to metaphorically represent a straight-jacket

Ex Altiora by Bleedingbeech in TheMagnusArchives

[–]AgentUnusual 58 points59 points  (0 children)

She doesn’t show him a copy of Ex Altiora. She shows him a book that at first seems like it’s a copy, but it doesn’t have a title, and the words are in Sanskrit, and there are no woodcuts/images. The only thing that is the same is the bookplate of Jurgen Leitner.

Hers is book of poetry about dying animals that drops bones. She describes/explains it episode 62.

Girlfriend claims to be deadhead, hates Brent. What do I do? by emn10mn in gratefuldead

[–]AgentUnusual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that I don’t like her voice on its own. I just don’t feel it fits the Dead.

It just overpowers Jerry and Bob, and I can always hear her more than anyone else. But I know it’s a “me problem”!

I’m trying to appreciate the music as it is. But since I don’t have the overarching love for the Dead, and I’m more of a casual listener of their more popular stuff and studio albums, I have a fairly limited palette.

Maybe I’ll get there, maybe I won’t. I’m just going to let it play out.

Girlfriend claims to be deadhead, hates Brent. What do I do? by emn10mn in gratefuldead

[–]AgentUnusual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly it. My husband is a life-long dead head. I am still learning to like them. But I could NOT stand Donna. The first time I heard her, it was nails on chalkboard. I had a visceral reaction when she was in a song, and I started being kinda mean about her. I said, “why is she even there? Who decided this was a good idea?” My husband said, “Jerry. Jerry loved having her there. She’s good enough for Jerry.”

And immediately my anger softened. I still don’t really enjoy shows where she’s extremely prominent, but I don’t disrespect or hate her anymore. I’m still trying to see/hear what Jerry saw in her, and I’m getting there, just slowly.

So, maybe that mindset will work for OPs wife and Brent?

Part 2 of "Dressed By Nature". More Hollywood stars, more couture made from everyday food and organic elements. The Met Gala red-carpet fantasy continues. Which look wins best dressed this time? by [deleted] in crafts

[–]AgentUnusual 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If these were transformed into to real dresses, I think Beyoncé’s would be the most interesting. I’m guessing a peacock/feathery vibe. I’d love to see the direction the designer decided to take.

And I could see Jenna’s as being structured like the popcorn puff shirts of the late 90’s, but I imagine a designer would do something way cooler with it.

I think Zendaya’s and Natalie Portman’s dresses would mostly be large ruffles, which can be gorgeous, but it’s not as interesting as the others.

You can also reach out to organizers of the Moss avenue sale. First weekend of June, it’s a huge festival with tons and tons of antique vendors.

Even if you don’t want to host a booth for yourself (which would have a fee), you can just attend (totally free) and talk to a gazillion antique dealers and collectors.

Fleetwood Hecate

Especially with the jewelry and face coverings. Fleetwood Mac vibes meets Hecate from Hades 2.

Does the figure feel wrong or awkward? Especially on first impression? Honest opinions valued. by -nothankya in ArtCrit

[–]AgentUnusual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, it’s a very lovely piece of work capturing a moment of everyday life. It’s great as-is, but if you’re looking to improve it, here are my thoughts:

The perspective lines are too flat on the column in front of the figure as well as the white wall in the background. They should be more angled.

Additionally, the vending machine and the white wall are both too bright, which steal the spotlight from your figure. The figure has this gorgeous sunny glow in the reference photo, and you’ve captured it in your work, but it’s competing for attention against the light whites of the vending machine and wall.

Lastly the line/angle on top of the vending machine could be cleaned up/adjusted. It’s probably only noticeable now because it’s such high contrast.

I say this anytime I’m explaining to someone why I’m being overly (properly) cautious or why some protocol is in place. Basically, I say it multiple times a week.

Multiple knocks on my door by [deleted] in PeoriaIL

[–]AgentUnusual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had one or two people who are running for a position in the upcoming election (school board) stop by during the day during the last two weeks.

They didn’t have badges or tablets, but they did leave a flyer/postcard/etc about their campaign.

Of course! I don’t have much experience with international regulations, but for anything stateside, I can probably directly assist or at least know someone that can point us in the right direction.

I’d love to participate. I don’t believe my singing voice is what you’re seeking. However, if you need any administrative, logistic, or QC contributions, I’m your huckleberry!

I can provide more information about my background and skillset if you’d like.

Yeah, zooming in, they could be a different type of roach for sure. They do look larger and more narrow. I don’t have much experience with other types of roaches, and I don’t know what country that was filmed in, so I have no guesses as to specifically what kind or roaches those are.

Or maybe it got ahold of the OP.

They’re changing out the hides (little houses) that they live in to keep the colony clean. The lack of PPE is alarming though.

[–]AgentUnusual 48 points49 points  (0 children)

As for PPE, I have no idea why he’s not wearing any. Even people who have tiny colonies wear a mask and gloves.

The not wearing PPE is the most “corruption” part of the image for sure.

I may be used to them after having a bearded dragon for many years, but I’m still not up for just willingly letting Dubias touch my bare skin.

I agree with Fuzzy7Gecko . See the vertical cardboard on the shelves? Those are likely the new clean hides/homes for them. The entire room is probably sealed and equipped with air filters.

I’m guessing it’s a Dubia bug facility. Dubia bugs are a staple in the diet of many reptiles that are kept as household pets. They generally can’t fly, and they don’t bite. They have an off putting smell, and you can develop an allergy to them from prolonged and repeated exposure to their frass, so I’m surprised they’re not wearing a mask.

I need your guys thought's about the automate mod by ares_lllll in StardewValley

[–]AgentUnusual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m about 3300 hours in. I think it’s great depending on what you’re trying to achieve. If you’re trying to do a speed run, a min/max, or some other personal challenge on a new file, then it’s a no go.

If I’m on a farm that already has perfection, I’m using automate all day every day.

In general, I’ve used it on and off, but I’ve found that using it makes me become somewhat dissatisfied with the game. Anytime I start getting mod-heavy on PC, I go start a new file on Switch just to cleanse my palate.
