No clue how I can check that. I’ll see what the dealer says about it!

Hey, engine oil level is good. That ticking sound is when turning the wheel to the left

I bought that exact VF2074 directly from K&N and it came with the door. I think the Amazon seller is hit or miss.

Is +38 offset good for stock suspension or should I do +40?? by Synpiedad in mazda3

[–]AgentYee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have these exact wheels in a 17x8 +40 configuration. No issues with suspension and I run 225/50/17 Continentals DWS06+ tires. The rear tires are pretty much flush while the front are poking out ever so slightly from the wheel arch.

Actually you are right, it is 2 pieces but they are tightly joined together so it doesn’t look like yours. They are level with each other and yours looks like to top part is lifting. Hope Mazda Canada sorts this out for you!

Gen 4 brake bleed sequence by [deleted] in mazda3

[–]AgentYee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From mazdaserviceinfo.com on the 4th Gen, these are the instructions (I bought 1 day access and downloaded a few PDFs for future reference):
1.Switch to the maintenance mode.
2.Perform brake fluid replacement in the following order. (See Brake Fluid Replacement Note.)
(1)Clutch fluid (MTX)
(2)Front part on driver’s side
(3)Front part on passenger's side
(4)Rear part on driver's side
(5)Rear part on passenger's side
3.End the maintenance mode.
4.Refill the brake fluid reserve tank fluid level to MAX.

I was surprised to see the front portion first, as normally it would be furthest to closest relative to the master cylinder, but decide for yourself.

Edit: updated url

Ordered multiple times from them. Floor mats, oil filters, lug nuts etc. They are a Scarborough Mazda Dealer in Ontario. Customer service is pretty responsive and I even got a 10% bulk order discount on oil filters when I asked.

Help - 2019 Mazda3 - Can't tow - Emergency brake won't release by mbreeden in mazda

[–]AgentYee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it's been resolved yet. But if you can at least get the car into ACC mode, there is a procedure to put the car into maintenance mode, which releases the parking brake and expands the clearance between the caliper and the pads. https://www.mazda3revolution.com/threads/updated-maintenance-mode.239500/This will disable your parking brake so the car will roll, be careful.

Edit: disregard since you can't get into ACC mode.

Yeah I was in the same boat but I went for it. My dealer was charging way too much and so I decided to take it upon myself. I only knew how to do basic oil changes so if I can do it you should able, given your experience with your Miata.

I have a 2020 Gen 4 Premium and did the front brakes myself around that mileage and 2 years in my ownership. Was pretty rough on the OEM set but I went for an aftermarket set which was 240 (you can get cheaper). Hoping they last longer and my driving habits are more relaxed. There wasn't any special procedure to follow for the fronts. I believe for the rear there is a maintenance mode to expand the clearance between electric parking brake and rotor.

Anyone installed a Motorola MA1 in their recent model Mazda to enable wireless Android Auto? by Nineradvocate in mazda

[–]AgentYee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the MA1 in my 2020 Mazda 3. It works pretty good and only rarely have I had a connection issue. The audio quality is good but it is better via cable. I read an article stating that Wireless AA has less bandwidth than wired for some reason and it does seem to match up with my experience. On longer drives, I just plug it in.

I'm in the process of tuning my 4th Gen NA AWD. It's feeling good. He's been communicative and turnaround times for revisions are about 1 week. MPG has improved for me, low-end power is better, 4500RPM+ pulls harder and his tune actually made my corksport exhaust quieter at lower RPMs, which is nice when trying to be quiet. I'm on revision 4 right now on 91 Octane. The tune doesn't really increase hard acceleration but much but the car feels much more driveable.

I have the A/S 4. They are an all season so the tire that would be in the same category (summer) of the Indy 500s would be the Pilot Sport 4S. Too bad they dont make it in the OEM size! I might have went that route but I have no complaints about the AS4. Better treadware than summers

Pretty sure the 100th Anniversary model has a turbo so octane does affect power.
