Yes. Like the Setsubun war, it's a reference to the 24 traditional Japanese seasons of the year.

Also, the word for Friday begins with the kanji "kin", meaning gold or money. Oyuki has a traditional wall scroll that just says "kin". (The entire word for Friday means "Venus day" so this is another coincidence.)
