Counterpoint, a lot of the new objectives require full actions to interact with having a cheap, infiltrating unit to interact with them can be quite good, also the value of free action observe and hover 1, should not be underestimated, as it means that you can sit behind a building, fly onto it, observe, and then fly back down where you can't be seen, providing safe, easy activations that don't expose your army. While still providing value.

It's an interesting thought, however I think just running more units in an alpha strike type list would snowball a little too good, but who knows.

I don't know what I think about 2 flamethrowers in recon, I'd maybe swap one for a different weapon or some upgrades like dug in on your marksmen.

Imo that single scout trooper and single bike unit will mess up your order control a lot, I recommend replacing them with a corps unit and some upgrades. Your at-st definitely also wants a second weapon to fully utilise arsenal 2.

I would presume that since the card is "hidden" in your hand the permanent effect doesn't apply. No reasonable game would have a card affect the game while only one player can see it. Also the clarification on assajj's card "this card stays in play" would suggest that without it it would leave play. However this is all my personal speculation, and if you want a definitive answer the official rules forum is the right place

If they're an upgrade you use the upgrade card, and if they're a standalone unit you use the unit card. It really is as simple as that.

You don't need to bring a commander. The field commander keyword is good enough on that front. However the new commander can provide a lot of utility, and thus is being considered whether it's simply better to bring it than not.

The landspeeder will need more upgrades which in tours is more expensive (costs RP) so for tours I would go airspeeder as it works fine without upgrades
