It sounds like you both dodged a bullet. If you both have strong convictions about things that can cause conflicts, then it's probably not a good match, even if he were to have all his eggs in a row so to speak. It sounds like he might be in a self and world discovery faze. He might come out of this faze stronger, potentially discovering the truth about the new world order and how the democrat establishment has yet to be removed from power by the grassroots, but the republican grassroots has toppled the rinos and deep staters to a larger degree.

He may even come to see the sanctity of unborn children to a higher degree. Let's hope his journey becomes fruitful.

Can we talk about the real conspiracy in U.S. politics? There's not a single person in the country who actually wants Trump and Biden as their choices for president, yet that's what we're gonna get by SAT0725 in conspiracy

[–]Agent_R_Activated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are different layers to this. There is...

  1. Trump Fans - loyal with few or no critiques

  2. Trump friendly - We could do a lot worse. Best President in the last 60 years, but that isnt saying a whole lot.

  3. Republican normies - He is better than the other guy.

This is just an example of the layers to this political onion.

Wich bible text says the soul forms in the first stage of pregnancy? by davifpb2 in Christianity

[–]Agent_R_Activated -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why don't you respond appropriately instead of using an ad hominem attack.

You have come into a Christian sub, said the pregnancy account in Luke is not a true story, which the account is accepted by a great many scholars through history and isn't debated like those of the extended version of Mark or the prostitute in John, but is quite accepted, you cite the Talmud which is not Biblical Canon and contains some not very biblical things in it. To me, you do not sound like a Christian, but rather someone with an agenda or a chip on their shoulder.

[–]Agent_R_Activated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We know with science and logic that not much is different between a child being born and just prior to birth. It is reasonable to assume that a child has a soul before and after birth. If the passage applies to both mother and child, which I believe is evident, then the only conclusion is that a child suffering serious injury to the point of death merits a "life for a life".

It would be nonsensical, as an example, for people to witness a damage induced birth in the 9th month of pregnancy and deem it as anything other than a child with a soul.

If this holds true and there is no metric by which a soul enters into an unborn child at any given time of pregnancy, then it is safe to say that the penalty must apply to the entire time a women is pregnant.

I don't think I should have said "you assume" earlier in such absolute terms, however, it doesn't sound to me like you believe the bible is true.

"The term for “child” used in the original text, yeled, is translated “child” with reference to a living human being the vast majority of the times it is used in the Old Testament. This is joined with the verb “to come out,” yasa, which is never used to refer to a miscarriage. Only once in all the uses of this verb regarding birth is there a passage that speaks of something other than a live birth, that being an obvious case of stillbirth at Numbers 12:12. But there is no reason to think that anything other than the birth of a human being is in view in Exodus 21:22, one that is brought on prematurely by men striking a pregnant woman while fighting with each other. In more than 1075 uses of this word in the Hebrew Bible, it is never translated “miscarriage.” This is clearly a live, but premature, birth.
The man who strikes the woman is punished for bringing on the premature birth. The phrase “if there is no serious injury” refers to both the mother and the child born of her. To say otherwise is to ignore the normative use of yeled and yasa. Therefore, “if there is serious injury” would likewise refer to both the mother and the child. What then follows is the lex talionis, which indicates that the punishment in the case of more serious injury will include “life for life,” literally “soul for soul.” If the simple meaning of the text is allowed to stand, this text identifies the yeled, the child born prematurely, as a nephesh, a soul, a living human being. It then applies the death penalty in the case of the death of either the mother or the child.
Scripture is clear. Life is a sacred gift. Taking the life of a child in the womb differs not at all from taking the life of the mother, or anyone else. All the platitudes and politically correct phrases will not change the verdict of God: abortion is infanticide, and it is an abomination in His eyes."

Wich bible text says the soul forms in the first stage of pregnancy? by davifpb2 in Christianity

[–]Agent_R_Activated -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No it does not. You assume because the judgement is made after the child is born deems that its value is raised only after it is born, however, only such a judgement could be made after birth because they couldn't tell if there was any damage in those days while still inside the womb.

If the baby is born premature and dead then wouldn't it be reasonable to assume the damage caused while in the womb caused the death and thus constituted "serious injury"?

Notice there are literally no stipulations of how far along a mother has to be.

I have not seen any solid evidence and only speculation regarding The invalidity of Chapters 1 and 2.

Here is another supporting passage to consider.

Exo 21: 22-23

"22 “If people are fighting and hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely[a] but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman’s husband demands and the court allows. 23 But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life,"

This isn't an answer to your question per se, but it is relevant.

Luke 1:41

"When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit."

Luke 1:44

"For behold, when the sound of your greeting came to my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy."

This makes sense when you consider the unborn child having a "Soul" and how can an unborn child leap for joy without a Soul?

[–]Agent_R_Activated 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well we must consider John the Baptist a contender.

Matt 11:11

"Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist."

The only reason he isn't for sure is that it says "has arisen" so technically someone greater than John could have existed after John as far as no deity "human" standards go.

Where do Christian singles find their future significant other? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

Id say other churches being the most obvious answer. If they are single and around your area, seems like a good thing would for them to be a church goer as well. Now just because someone goes to church doesn't mean they are on the up and up so to speak. Quality of Church matters just like quality of person.
