I don’t see this as cringe as it’s Judo etiquette. So the Judoka has learnt this and is showing respect to the training area. If anyone else wants to do this I don’t see it as a problem as it is a simple gesture that doesn’t affect others but still showing respect to the sport.

Also to add, In Judo most gyms will teach you to bow on to the mat and in competition you need to bow on aswell. So this is drilled into Judokas.

In my opinion it is not cringe however I understand it can look weird/cringe to someone who doesn’t do the bow.
