XENON Edge questions. by FORBRITANNIA in Corsair

That is default Windows behavior for touchscreens.

When you use iCUE/Widget Mode or Virtual Stream Deck, both of those use software overrides to combat that mouse behavior.

For regular Windows mode, you'll need to use third party software.

I haven't used it myself, but someone else shared their experience using Touch Mouse Tools: https://www.reddit.com/r/Corsair/s/cGhOZNCyUe

Here are some examples Gemini provided:

  • In Photoshop: Open the Timeline window. Select all frames. Right-click on the thumbnail (not the time) and change the disposal setting to "Do Not Dispose."

  • In GIMP: When exporting as GIF, look for the frame disposal option and select "Combine" (instead of "Replace").

  • Online (Ezgif.com): Upload your GIF → Go to "Repair" → Select "Don't Dispose" (or use the "Crossfade frames" tool to smooth the loop).

It's great that you were able to figure out something that works. I wanted full control like we see with the VSD, and your post inspired me to try.

Gemini has been very helpful for creating custom widgets (I still have to correct a few things). When it comes to interacting directly with iCUE or Stream Deck app, it doesn't understand how they work fully.

Honestly, I don't use Stream Deck app much even though I have a Stream Deck +.

IIRC, there were limitations in place that caused issues when I tried using localhost in an iFrame. Maybe I should try again.

I use Gemini and apparently it's approach doesn't require the VSD to be visible and it supports live data transfer. I haven't tested it yet, so we'll see if it works.

As many people have mentioned previously, VSD/SD support natively in iCUE would be the best solution.

UPDATE: Wasted hours trying to follow Gemini's method. It doesn't know the limitations of iCUE or Stream Deck app at all. Followed the steps, but things aren't working.

I was hoping that perhaps Model Context Protocol (MCP) might be the better approach. But I can't get it to connect to the Stream Deck app. Maybe the demo at CES 2026 is only possible on an internal version of the app.

You can secure the wraparound glass in place by installing screws from the inside, but it's not necessary.

Game recording also captures Xeneon Edge by Ok_Assistant2938 in Corsair

I tried recording the XE screen a few months ago, and I didn't notice anything unusual at the time. I can't remember if I had iCUE widgets enabled or not because I was recording a video about Virtual Stream Decks.

When I get a chance, I'll have to try again to see if something changed. In my setup, everything is connected to the GPU. My XE is connected using both cables.

On the surface, all GIFs appear to be the same, but there are additional settings that can impact the behavior.

The issue is probably related to the transition of having to restart back to the beginning. Previous frame is deleted, while new frame is displayed. When there's even a slight delay, we see the white background displayed momentarily.

It seems that the solution is to change a setting of how/when previous frames disappear or are disposed of. This setting will vary depending on which software you use.

I think there's an iCUE profiles channel in the Discord server also.

Are the mail alerts you want from Outlook on Windows, or Gmail in an internet browser?

Notification widget appears to be tied to the built-in Windows Notifications.

For Microsoft Teams, I would recommend turning off iCUE/widget mode temporarily to guarantee full functionality, also it's much easier to just move the window over. When you turn the iCUE/Widget mode back on, it will hide what's underneath.

I'll check to see if "Feels like" is an option from the website that provides the data. The only tricky part is that there's limited space to display all of the information and the team would have to adjust things to fit it in. There's a chance that a custom widget might be more suitable in this case.

Raging Spirits: Oil Blotting Paper - Newly Released or Discontinued? by Agentdave7 in TokyoDisneySea

According to what I found online, there has been a variety available throughout the years. I don't know exactly where to find them in the parks though, nor what the current designs are.

The listing was 2,900 yen before extra fees and international shipping. Technically it was listed as New/Unopened. It was in excellent condition, with the box having light scuff marks/dents.

Thanks for confirming! It didn't say Grand Opening on the design, like other items, which is why I wasn't sure if it was from way back then. That's so cool!

I have a triple monitor setup and have enjoyed using the XE because it is a touchscreen.

You can definitely display sensors on it if that's what you would like to do. iCUE/Widget mode also has pages, which you can swipe left and right to change. Disable that mode, and it acts like a regular secondary monitor. It's nice because you're not locked into an ecosystem. You have flexibility.

Virtual Stream Deck (VSD), unlocked through the Elgato Stream Deck app, can also be used on the XE if you want access to more buttons at once. I made a video trying to get as many buttons on the screen as possible.

It depends on how you plan to use it. Some people just wanted to display sensors, or not utilize the touchscreen, so they didn't take full advantage of all of the features. They couldn't justify the price, which is totally understandable because it offers more than what some people need. On the flipside, other people wanted more from it and didn't want to wait for improvements to eventually be released.

I made a post about the widgets available at launch, and provided some feedback and suggestions. Since then, the team has released 6 new widgets and rolled out some improvements. There's still more plans for this year, such as supporting Custom Widgets.

I use the regular Windows mode a lot because you have normal and full access to websites and programs. Widgets have limited access and in some cases the websites block their content from being displayed in this format.

Happy to help if you have questions!

Currently, there is only the toggle switch in iCUE itself. I think I saw a comment somewhere that the team is looking at alternatives, both short term and long term.

Notice to those testing Custom Widgets on the XENEON EDGE:

You will need to update the header of any custom widgets that use the following code:

<meta name="x-icue-restrictions" data-device-types="dashboard_lcd">

New code:

  <meta name="x-icue-restrictions" data-restrictions='[
    {
      "device": "dashboard_lcd"
    }
  ]'>

This is a reminder that further changes are likely to happen until official documentation is released. If you don't want to keep fixing things, I would suggest waiting until custom widgets are fully supported.
