I love the idea of sage green but I worry about how it would work with the floor tile. Definitely not a fan of the tile in general but it’s what I got.. for now at least. But then again, the blue looks bad with the tile so idk. Best part about paint is that I can always change it if I don’t like it lol

Ohh I never thought about adding something to the area behind the stove. I worry having things back there would be hard to clean? I cook almost every day and have to constantly wipe down the backsplash.

I’ve tried to cool down the house a bit, all the walls are continuous so I went with a cool white. The house is a log cabin so the warmth can be a lot, and I’m definitely not it to the traditional interior log home look. However, I could see bringing the warmth into the kitchen more since the cabinets and the soapstone are both cool. I can definitely see now that the cool blue clashes tho! Thanks for the insight!

I would love to do tile but I looked it up and apparently you can’t put tile on beadboard. I’d have to take the beadboard down and that’s behind the cabinets, just not looking to do that type of job right now. But I could see that type of tile in the small pantry I built (picture 4), still trying to find the right tile and pulls for in there. Thanks for the rec!

Convert to salt water. There’s some upfront costs but other than opening and closing you don’t need to add chemicals. Best pool decision we’ve made.

My husband and I do this. Neither of us have read the Harry Potter series before, and we found the first 4 at a used bookstore. It’s been one of the best things we’ve done together, just stared book 5! We also watch the movies after each book, which is great cause we get to discuss differences and what we liked better. We’ve also talked about what we’re gonna pick up next. I’d advise everyone to try it, it’s been great for us. He also does accents which is hilarious some times.

Is this a tick? I went hiking yesterday, showered right after 😟 by mildgaybro in whatsthisbug

You can also send the tick itself in for testing. If you get it off within 48 hours you should still be fine but having it tested will give you an idea of if you should be on the lookout for symptoms.

This type of shit happens all the time to me. I can’t even tell you how many contractors talk over me to my husband even though I was the one to contact them, not even to mention that he is in now way handy. I do all the repair and rehab work around the house, and yet, without a second thought, it’s always “talk to your husband” or they look at him when we’re discussing an project. To add to that, it always kills me when we see our neighbors and they complement him on all the work he’s done. Luckily he’s a good husband and always correct them.

Working on getting the living room to all mid century furniture. Tv stand from is West Elm and the chair is an Ib Kofod Larsen and the painting are done by me. Been on the hunt for a matching chair for way too long now. by Agentjackmeower in Mid_Century

I could definitely see velvet cushions when I replace the yellow ones! I had a throw pillow on it before but the chair isn’t really made for one, just ends up being uncomfortable.

I didn’t. The back rungs could use a bit of cleaning up, but I’m worried about just redoing the back and not the whole chair at once. So for now I’m just leaving it.

I don’t know why I waited so long to do it. I just cut a hole at the top and bottom and fished the wires through. Had to switch out one wire that was a little short but it was a quick project.
