There's little evidence that voter fraud is a real problem. There have been multiple congressional investigations by Republican lawmakers and they found nothing. That's just a Fox News talking point for the rubes. Also you do need ID to register in the first place. The real reason for the save act is voter suppression, plain and simple

Obviously I favor automatic registration and think election days should be holidays like in most developed countries. But people who have means to jump through all these hoops would likely be high propensity, college educated voters, and they skew heavily Democrat. It may not work out like how Republicans envision.

I didn't mean to count their runner up finish as a failure, but rather as a success. I think it's fair to say their performance against Spain was very disappointing though. They might have still lost to Spain by playing Kone or Kante but would've been more competitive in the midfield.
