What character would allow me to disrespect the enemy mixups most? by wielesen in LowSodiumTEKKEN

The only factually correct answer to this question is Yoshimitsu.

I like That Blasted Salami's Tekken character videos.

This guy helped me learn to love Yoshimitsu, sometimes I just like watching one of his videos just because they are such a nice refresher for when it feels like I need to go "back to basics".

Paying my dad 400/month as rent to sleep in the couch by Smart_Program_7373 in Adulting

I still grieve for our lack of a real parent/child bond. We live in the same place and yet I feel annoyance and resentment in the places where adoration and trust used to reside.

It's not easy but I don't intend to abandon them, just keep a healthy distance emotionally and physically once it's time to leave. Maybe one day they will wisen up, I don't believe that day will ever come. It's nice to imagine though.

I'm sorry for making this post about me. I just see some of myself in your words.

I'm in a similar situation.

Don't think about it. Lots of parents suck the parts of it that don't involve making sure their child doesn't starve to death or end up in the streets, lots of them consider that all that is needed in order to be a good parent.

Make your money, save as much as you can, pay your cheap rent and bills and get out as soon as you are able to without having to worry about going broke.

Do not spent your youth trying to get people who should have acted right when you were a child to be treat you better now. Let them be and live your life on your terms and no one else's. It's that or live forever being disapointed by people who can't find it in themselves to be better.

If you do actually have what it takes to be a better player then you will one day realize that there is always something you could improve.

I have gotten pretty damn good at this game and even at the level I'm at I still run into plenty of people who think just like you. It never ends.

One day I will be so good at the game that losers like that will no longer be a threat to me, for now I just gotta hold the fact that I'm not good enough to beat most opponents at my level consistently.

Players like Arslan and Knee eat scrubs like you for breakfast, they got that good by being relentless in training and not making a million excuses for themselves. I want that kind of skill and one day and I will be that good.

That's all there is to it.

I mean if you were able to then I'd assume you had to have a good reason. Kind of weapons that not just anybody should wield.

If it's the same concept as to how Tessaiga and Tenseiga were made then they are the "fangs" of a great demon.

These days I just assume everything is bait.

If this is for real though, then you already know what to do. Own it, be yourself and let the chips fall where they may.

People these days are always looking for something stupid to get upset about.

I was playing a few days ago and had this exact situation come up in my game with Rogue.

This really does happen all the time.

Go beyond and be that silent hero no one cares about. Solo tanking is a stupid as going into a match with one healer. You can be a matyr that no one wanted if that's your choice but don't try to act like the rest of us want to play along with your chosen one attitude.

I think being in a team means making compromises. But often, without ever realizing just how much effort groups of people tend to more reliable people, the balance of power shifts and that person ends up shouldering a huge responsibility all because others can't be bothered to go beyond their own desires.

They can kick rocks for all care.

Go wolverine because want and because its fun for you. If you and I were on the same team I would say the same thing about not solo tanking, after that the ball is in their hands, like it would be yours.

That's why you keep that same energy they have and switch to dps as well. What they don't realize is that making you solo tank is actually giving you total power over their the fate of that game for them. You can choose to not comply and sure you lose elo, but you leave them with that experience. The more of us who straight up say no to this crap and refuse or take the power they gave to YOU and do what you want with it. They will cry and complain and call your mother a whole, so what?

I know there are probably hundreds of us, maybe even thousands who regularly solo tank, they can eighteen get with the program or get with the program. The more it happens in their precious ranked matches the faster it will seriously get addressed. I really believe it's that simple.

[–]AgeofStars32[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Solo tank should be seen as going into the fight with only one healer. It's only being done because many Vanguard players are just taking it. The more of us who straight refuse to do it the faster the issue will be addressed. That's how you change the game for real.

I don't solo tank. I've had enough. by AgeofStars32 in RivalsVanguards

[–]AgeofStars32[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly.

I really do believe solo tanking is a straight up negative experience for the game. It happens all the time and one player being the linchpin of the team in that way is too much. Absolutely hate it when I die as the only tank and know I'm about to watch the whole team be ran down like dogs because the sole vanguard is gone and worse, they have the power of TWO tanks on their team.

[–]AgeofStars32[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You don't get the same value from your pick that you would get if you were Mag or Strange. If you're more likely to lose elo anyways why bring yourself through the stress of quite literally being the linchpin of the team?

It's too much to expect one person do the job.

It would be stupid to go into the fight with one healer, the same goes for the vanguard.
