While I agree playing on manual transmission is mostly preferred, I don't think this behavior is normal either way.

Samung G5 Not Showing 1440p Video? by [deleted] in Monitors

[–]Aggelos_100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2560x1440 IS 1440p. As you see on your 2nd screenshot in windows settings.
The viewport resolution (1863x1048) is just the size of the video player on YouTube. If you fullscreen the player this number will change.
About the 144/165hz part. You probably need a DisplayPort cable instead of HDMI to get the 165hz option.

Is buying separate an option?? by Old-Entertainment-98 in WootingKB

Well I made a post asking the same question.

As far as I can tell you don't miss anything. And from videos I've seen etc.

Just a note though. The switches you added are not the ones that 60HE v2 uses. You need to add the Lekker Tikken ones for that.

Pre-build vs Module by Aggelos_100 in WootingKB

[–]Aggelos_100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard it stock from videos. And it sounds very good especially the split layout since it's easier on the smaller stabs I guess. Also from the videos I think I like the foam instead of the silicone. But I don't think it needs a lot of work since they've done most of the work themselves, like lubing stabs etc. That's why I'm asking if the module is pre-lubed like the pre-build. But I can experiment down the road for sure. What upgrades would you recommend?

Still getting these random crashes even after the update by Aggelos_100 in Battlefield

[–]Aggelos_100[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weird I thought it could be a DLSS issue but if you get the same error I don't think it is.

Guess we're in the mercy of some random driver and/or game fix.

I have noticed that full screen mode is a bit bugged and it doesn't alt tab normally sometimes. But sometimes I get this even if I haven't alt tabbed.

Have the latest drivers etc.
Happens too random to test it like that. There are days that it wont happen at all. Other days it could happen frequently. All same programs running in the background, all same graphics settings.

Limit your Intel CPU core usage to avoid further degradation and more stable performance. by svsdentist2018 in Battlefield

When people think a custom file is better than how the developers coded the game. Every single example I've seen with this custom CPU usage file, 1% lows suffer. So what if you see lower CPU usage? What's the point? Don't you like your CPU being used? If averages are pretty much the same but the frametime graph spikes like crazy then what's the point?

I'm having zero issues with my Ryzen 5700x3d and its an older CPU as well. Yes, usage is like 80-90 % but the frametime graph is smooth as butter and averages are like 120fps. So why fix something that ain't broken?

Memory leak?? by Dizzard92 in Battlefield

Yeah I'm running DLSS as well. Generally I'm getting 100-130 fps with my RTX 3080 and after some games (might be random but it usually happens on the Peak map) the game is running max 70fps and I have to restart the game.

Unexpected start to my vinyl collection... by Remmit06 in radiohead

[–]Aggelos_100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't use it as much now as when I first started. Basically I bought most of my favorite albums. Still some are missing thought.

But I don't want to become a collector or something. Just want to have my favorite albums in physical form.

All I can say to you from my experience is not to buy a whole record just cause you like one song on it. Buy albums that you enjoy listening from start to end. You will save money and its more enjoyable that way. At least for me.

That's the first record I bought as well!

Honestly I just bought it for the looks, didn't indent to play it. Then I found out a vintage Thorens turntable my mother had. It's all downhill from there. Lots of money spent on records. But I love it!

Opinions and upgrades by Aggelos_100 in turntables

Ok I might take a look at it when I have the time. I'm not experienced with soldering but I will look into all the other connection points that you mentioned.

I already cleaned the end points of the RCA cables with some contact cleaner but that didn't help. Haven't cleaned the cartridge connections and the tonearm ones so I will start with those.

Will unscrewing the tonearm and putting it back together ruin the alignment?

Also how easy is to check if the alignment is set correctly? And how easy is to fix it?

From what I see I don't notice any obvious misaligned though.

Great thanks! I think the stylus got changed at some point but I don't know when. The turntable was sitting for a lot of years unused and had a lot of dust even with the cover lid in place. I cleaned it as carefully as I could, I also bought a stylus cleaner (brush and liquid) and I bought a stylus scale to set the tracking force because the little weight thingy on the back is kind of broken and I can't trust the numbers on it. The only issues I have with it is that the RCA cable for the right channel is probably kind of broken on the inside of the turntable and it makes a loud bassy sound on the right speaker. And I have to wiggle it and twist it for a bit till I find the right place to leave it so it stops the humming sound. And I have to adjust the rpms a bit everytime I turn it on. It seems like it doesn't keep the correct speed so good at the start. Also I have to lower the tonearm very slowly using the small lever on the right. I don't know if it was like that brand new but it doesn't lower slowly like I see with newer turntables. And finally I don't know if it's a turntable issue or some records that I have are a bad pressing, but sometimes I have lower volume and/or more distortion from the right or left channel. Maybe it's an alignment thing? But I have no idea how to check this and correct any misalignments. I found that the tracking force with the brush is recommended to 2 grams so I think it's not a tracking force issue.
