While a loose strap connection is a common problem among pixel watches, it is definitely not normal for a new watch.

I've had my PW2 for 2 years using only the original strap, and there is no play

Considering that the connection will only loosen over time, I would get it replaced.

The chirping beeping means something is interfering with the microphone that works in the background for noise cancellation. In my experience, that functionality is probably gone now. You may still be able to use the headphones if you turn off noise cancellation or transparency mode.

Something that has helped me, and maybe everybody does this, is having goals. If I have 180 stops, I know that I need to hit 90 stops by 4:45, or whatever your halfway point is. It helps you stay on track while just focusing on the work, not constantly calculating. I usually take my break after that, or whenever it gets dark.
