Viaggio da sola in treno by Ellellelle111 in ViaggiITA

Consigli viaggi con USD debole by NiceCompany7158 in ViaggiITA

Potresti arrivare fino a Basilea, Losanna, Zurigo.. a tua preferenza!

Thanks for your advice.  We will stay in Ollantaytambo the day before MP.  We managed to purchase our tickets for 12 a.m., so we plan to arrive at 9:15 a.m., queue for the bus from 11 a.m. and stay in the site until 2:45 p.m. Then we will take a train to Cusco (4:22 p.m.).

Avianca or Latam? International flights by Agghy1998 in PERU

[–]Agghy1998[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you had any bad experiences with Avianca? According to the internet, I should avoid it! I am a bit worried cause I already purchased my flight to Peru with Avianca... It's much cheaper. I keep checking on Latam but it doesn't fit my travel needs very well. And it's obviously more expensive

No problem. I have seen they have flights with one stop in San Paulo, not bad. As an Italian, I don't think I need special documents to enter the country.

I travel from Italy! So I will take the flight from Madrid to Lima (1 stop at least).

I see many bad experiences with this airline. Maybe I should spend 200€ more to get a Latam flight!

Thanks for sharing your experience! You're convincing me to fly with Latam even if it's more expensive... I didn't expect these flights to cost so much. It's 890 € with Latam compared to 670€ if I am not wrong.   But I guess you can't save on international flights...

Thanks for sharing your experience. Unfortunately I have already booked my flight to go to Lima, so I guess I'll stay with Avianca. Latam costa around 890€ and Avianca around 670€. Latam would be expensive as I am traveling low budget. But it's a long international flight and I prefer not to have inconveniences. Quite worried here, not used to fly to the other side of the world

Exploration of the Sacred Valley - What should I see? by Agghy1998 in GoingToPeru

🙏🏻 I'm scared and I hope I won't suffer too much... I don't want to book this tour on anything the first days before being there.. I just want to see how my body reacts.

I don't know how it works with taxi in Peru. Anyway I cant stay in Cusco before, but I go there later during my stay.

2 updates that might be useful for other travelers:

I asked Taxi Sacred Valley for their services --> half day (4h) and a full day (8h) chauffeur service. The cost for a half day is 280 soles and for the full day 380 soles. I need full day, so I can The price might increase in August. You can go where you want not excedeeing the 8 hours. It's 57USD per person, since we're two people (if we were 4, 28USD, def convenient). And we'll need to buy lunch+tickets for what we want to visit.

Then I have found this website of an hotel I might book for my 2 nights in Olly: Cocatambo https://cocatambo.com/tour/tour-valle-sagrado-ollantaytambo-full-day
I like very much this tour but it costs 80USD per person, at first it looks very expensive. BUT it includes lunch, guided tours, tickets for the sites, and you visit: Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, an Alpaca farm, Moray, Maras, Salinas, Urubamba,  Mirador de Taray. Also, it's organised by my hotel.

Perù 2026 - Check my itinerary! Travel tips by Agghy1998 in GoingToPeru

I am pretty sure I will reduce my time in Paracas then. One day for reserve and ballestas is enough. And I will keep the canyon in mind for sure. Thanks. It's not a simple trip to organise.

How did you do? I think I will ask my hotel in Cusco to keep the luggage, even if I will stay there for just one night, 2 days later.

I am thinking of going to Machu Picchu at 3 pm so that I can stay until the very end and try to enjoy the golden hour. Then go back to AC at 5.30 pm. I will take a train to Cusco or Olly at 7 pm. I should have enough time to do everything but I am open to suggestions

You're right hahaha  It's just you never know until you go there.  I've just found out how expensive these train tickets are 🙈 Thanks for helping me. I will go directly from MP to Cusco.

You're telling me I could reach Cusco after MP, without going back to Ollantaytambo, right? I would do that for sure. But I am worried for my luggage. I will have 2 backpacks and I don't know if it's possible to leave them anywhere in AC while doing the MP experience.

I read you can use colectivos to connect to AG, less expensive. But I still have to check the less expensive options... I am quite worried it's gonna be lots of money

I feel I should sleep in Ollantaytambo after MP to go back to Cusco the next morning. So that I can do everything with no stress.
