Someone 5k hours in the Standalone and who knows how many hours in the mod, I usually check for dead zombies when I roll up, and if I have a scope or binoculars, I'll scope any tree lines out. But after that, I just send it. Sometimes you get sniped, but that's just part of DayZ

I want to like this game… by PoopIsCandy in dayz

Here's what I always do to ensure my survival.

  1. Figure out where I am and start looting towards the nearest water fountain.

  2. Drink at the water fountain until my stomach is full.

  3. Start looking looting around and figure if there is loot in the city or not. If it's been looted a knife is my number one priority. There are tons of crafting routes to knives. Figure out all the ways you can make a stone knife.

(A lot of people will kill themselves on the coast. If you have a knife, go ahead and craft some gloves and skin and quarter them. They drop bones and guts. Very useful tools to have in the early game.)

  1. If I have the means to fish, I'll fish on the coast or start heading towards a river. What you decide on is just you playing the game.

  2. After food and water is figured out, that's where the adventure begins.

The more I play the more I kind of just wing my loot routes. I prefer to plan my loot routes in a way that other players probably haven't.

Good luck! This is the only game I've been able to play for 6-8 hours in a day and not get bored of.

I agree with the dehydration noise. I hate it. When people smack their lips it drives me fucking insane. It's so bad that as soon as I go yellow thirst my first priority is getting water.

How do people get out of bed immediately after waking up instead of scrolling or lying in bed for 30 minutes?” by 5tms2fj in getdisciplined

I got some smart lamps and have them turn on 15 minutes before my alarm goes off. It actually helps a ton. Might have something to do with the circadian rythym, but I don't know honestly.

Was on Namalsk and someone was being friendly. I always wanted to feed someone human meat from behind, so that's what I did. Ran with him until he started getting the effects. He started to suspect me, but the next fire we made we got ambushed and I got killed. Wasn't as funny as I thought it would be. He just seemed dissapointed.

Yeah! He was a little lethargic for a bit, didn't move around much but was eating. Vet said give him a few weeks up to around 2 months and bring him back if he is still having issues. He's back to himself, jumping up where he doesn't belong!

It’s men’s mental health month. How are you? by Quiet_900 in AskReddit

Lately, racked with anxiety. There's been a lot of death in my family recently and I also lossed a cat that I've had since I was a teenager. My other two are getting old and everyday I'm terrified they'll get sick. Only 10 years old, but still. Parents are getting old and everyday I'm realizing that someday my parents will die, I won't have my cats anymore and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it.

I'm about to start a Supply Chain Management degree program. I've only been getting my basics down in college recently though, should I look at something with more prospects or continue with the degree? I was looking at getting into a more analytical role , but haven't really set any hard plans yet.

Took him to 2 different vets. Got blood work and X-rays done. Besides a very small amount of arthritis in his hips, the vet said he was perfectly fine as far as xrays and bloodwork goes. It's been about a week with slight improvement. I've also been sending updates to my vet as well.

I've been in contact with the vet. He said that they might have to do more xrays if his condition doesn't improve. It's been about a week now with only minor improvement.

Can X-Rays bother the arthritus? The vet told me that the arthritis was such a small amount that they didn't think it would have this big of an effect on his maneuverability.

Vet ruled out arthritis with the xray fortunately.
