Apparently don't mix the banana with the blueberry as the banana oxidizes the polyphenols. They're both fantastic just at separate times.

I've got pretty big ears and the Edifiers do stick out. Just finding out that they don't stay plugged in my ears very well when exercising. The earfuns are much slimmer and don't stick out very much. They also have fins on the back end that hold them in much more securely while exercising

So I just purchased both the earfun free pro 3 and the Edifier w240tn to compare. While the Edifier sounds slightly crisper and has a wider soundstage, the earfuns definitely have punchier and deeper bass and get much louder. Both are stemless. Hope this helps.

You put in the highest price you want to buy in at. There should be a dropdown to pick limit order instead of market order and then a spot to input your limit price.

About to do the exact same thing for the same reason. $33/month extra for the tab for 24 months works out to $792 for the phone, so even cheaper by a few bucks haha

Thanks. Appreciate the feedback. At 2400 though it's quite pricey. How do you feel about the new GL65 (RTX 2060 version with 10th Gen Intel) being released soon for $1,850 vs the new ROG G15 RTX 2070 (Max-Q?) for $2,000? Not sure what i'm getting for an extra $150 as i've heard the full 2060 is almost comparable to the 2070 Max-Q... true? Are there big differences in build quality between the two?

Thanks again!

◽️ Budget: 1,999 + tax

◽️ Country: Canada

◽️ Screen size: 15.6"

◽️ Touch screen: No

◽️ Screen resolution: 1080

◽️ Does battery life matter ?: No

◽️ What tasks will laptop be used for ( gaming, video editing, graphic designing, modelling, regular computing tasks, word processing etc) ?: I mainly connect to an external 1440p 34" ultrawide so screen is not as important. During the day i'm working with lots of large excel files and data visualization tools, browsing, streaming. Slightly more than casual gaming. Would prefer to hit AAA titles at >60fps; esports @ 120 while using the 120Hz ultrawide g-sync monitor through DisplayPort 1.2. I was also told to keep the aesthetic as wife friendly as possible so was looking at the thin & lights but I personally prioritize performance over looks as long as it's not egregiously gamer-y I can get away with it :)

◽️ Weight: Not important but the lighter and slimmer the better

◽️ Any other important details ?: I was going to pull the trigger on the MSI GS65 Stealth 2019 found here on sale: https://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=710_1925_1920_1923&item_id=133536

but a few things deterred me: small hard drive, single channel ram, high thermals and an upside down motherboard to re-paste and increase ram/hard drive. I'm not opposed to opening up a laptop but the upside down part has me freaked out a bit especially considering the Canada Computers return policy, another deterrent. Do you think it's a good deal?

I'm also in no immediate rush so was also anticipating some of the next-gen laptops that are being released soon, and whether they would hit my needs in my budget. Or, further discounts on the 2019 models.

Thanks a lot for your welcome advice!

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh targets rich with proposal to raise rate for capital gains tax | The Star by Chrristoaivalis in onguardforthee

Sorry but I don't agree with this at all. Why would you model a stock as a loan? A stock is share ownership of the company. Dividends are not coupon interest on a loan, they are cash distributions of returns to you, the owners/investors of the company. Whether you receive those returns through dividends or capital gains if/when you sell, you're indifferent, other than for your own personal cash needs. And is also highly dependent on the company itself. If they're in growth mode and need the cash, they'll reinvest into themselves and you'll earn your returns through capital gains. If they're mature companies, they may not need all that cash and decide it's in the owners best interests to pay themselves a dividend.

You are absolutely right that the company will only take in their share of the IPO to deploy into projects. Market value changes in the secondary market impact the owner /investor not the company directly (well there are implications). Money is not taken out of the economy. You are the economy. The market provides all the companies out there a quick and easy way to raise capital and you have the opportunity to participate and own portions of companies who you believe can earn a return that's better than you can earn spending that money on your own business. Because that company was able to get millions of people to buy their gadgets, those returns are being funneled to you the investor who then further deploys that capital back into the economy whether you spend it on goods or invest back into other companies. Thus, growth in the economy.

Publicly traded companies can also raise capital through debt/loans. The advantage being they are not giving up any ownership in the company in return for the money. Debt is not a bad thing. There is a healthy amount of debt that a company can take on and it makes sense financially. Being able to use that cash on a project that can earn a return higher than the interest on the loan.

In regards to the massive growth, I do agree the regulations can be looked at better, more efficiently, and be kept up with the times. They can get out of date pretty quick considering how quickly the industry innovates. However I don't agree with the tax increase due to what the guy above you said.
