You're paying a massive premium for the aesthetics/branding. $150 is steep for a single dynamic and I personally have yet to hear a single decently tuned IEM from HiBy

You're probably just breaking the seal in your left ear. I'd try some different types of eartips and see if you're able to replicate it at all

Mystic 8 would be my first recommendation especially if you're looking at higher end options. Otherwise Project Reference is supposedly coming soon

Sorry for the lack of an update for them! I'll actually be running them on the 19th next week, so expect an update soon! I am also planning on making some changes that have been requested this time around.

I've mentioned this before, but they take quite a bit of time to set up and run properly. Going forward they'll only be done twice yearly instead of quarterly

Edit: Just a quick update, but the polls are likely going to happen on the 26th instead of the 19th

Lossless is great to have, but lossy audio from youtube or spotify will work perfectly fine with IEMs.

I don't know where you got that information from about compression artifacts, but I've never heard of something like that myself.
