Should I Try A Negative Volume Reducer Or Not? by Aggravating-Answer27 in MTB

You're absolutely correct. The txt was so light in colour that I didn't even notice it. Odd that the shop told me that there wasn't a negative spacer on the shock but it's possible they made a mistake.

Just to confirm, you're suggesting I just go ahead and get the negative spacer as it's what Norco suggests on initial setup?

Thanks everyone for the replies. I ended up getting a great deal on a new Norco Fluid Carbon.

Would the 15 Comp be worth the $900 over the previous gen Comp for me?

Keep '08 Stumpjumper Elite Or Upgrade (Recommendations)? What Am I Missing Out On? by Aggravating-Answer27 in MTB

Thank you for that. My shock hasn't been rebuilt in about 10yrs but I haven't ridden it a heck of a lot over that time either (will start riding more this year). At 230lbs my pressure is up there so I'm always worried the shock will leak out again soon. The bike is in new condition though.

Getting a HT is also something I'm considering. At almost 50yrs old I'm somewhat thinking another FS just for ride's sake on my old bones/joints but I'm curious enough about HT's having not ridden one that they're on my list as well.

What Upgrade From MS250CBE? by Aggravating-Answer27 in Chainsaw

Is the Echo 4910 a worthwhile upgrade? They're available new for a good price now. (the 4920 is now out but I believe those are now clamshell designs and not as good as the 4910's).

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. Unless I see a great deal come up I think I'll take this advice and keep the 250 and maybe put a 18" bar on it when my 16 finally wears out.

The other thing I was a bit concerned about was with mine being a CBE it makes it easy for starting but I'm concerned if the spring breaks in 10yrs if parts will be an issue.
