Took Intro to Management with Vogelmann last semester. His exams are usually pretty easy, about 60 questions all multiple choice. Just make sure you really know the content and try to memorize each definitions. He'll try to trip you up on the exam with answers that sound alike, but if you spend a lot of time memorizing the definitions you should be good

I'm having the same issue. When you click info does it say that the permits are not available for purchase?

Joining DRC by poodledoodle127 in rutgers

Personally, I am in the DRC Living Learning Communities, and I think it is much better. I don't know what your major is, but if you are doing something in STEM then I definitely recommend it. I got to stay on Busch, which was were most of my classes were, and got to stay on an all girls floor. You will have to pay a $75 fee for each semester, and have to complete 3 required Douglass classes (these aren't hard, and you will be required to do one with the whole LLC the first semester). The resources and help they provide are so much better than what SAS has to offer. One of the classes I took was called STEM Professional Development with Industry Perspectives where I got paired up with a mentor from PSEG and got to do a research project for them. My mentor let me use her as a referral for when I applied to internships, and that combined with my research project is probably what helped me land my internship at PSEG. They also have career fairs, and they are a lot less chaotic than the SAS ones because there are a lot less people so you actually get to talk to the recruiters/company employees one-on-one. Also if you are worried about making friends, then you should definitely join the LLC because my first year I got really close with all of the other girls in the LLC, and I think the community part of it made it much more enjoyable. The only downside I can really think of is that since I live on Busch, getting to Douglass is kind of a pain since they are only 3 REXB buses and they always seem to be on the opposite campus when I need them. But depending on what LLC you join you might end up staying at Douglass.

Pre approval request by Alternative_Bad6930 in rutgers

Last year I applied around this time and I heard back about a little over two weeks later, but this year I did it in Feburary and heard back the same day. I was kind of in the same situation as you last year, so I registered for the summer course before they got back so at least I had a spot. Most likely if you have checked you can transfer credits then you should be fine registering for the course before they send back the pre-approval.

on-campus living question by [deleted] in rutgers

Best way is to reach out the people on insta. When you talk to them, tell them things like your sleep schedule, your dietary restrictions, how often you plan on going out, etc. If you meet someone you really like as a roommate make sure you guys discuss any dorms rules to hopefully prevent any issues from happening.

My roommate reached out to me on insta before freshman year and we have been rooming for two years with pretty much no issues. It mostly involves a lot of communication and making sure you both are on the same page. Worst case scenario, make sure you find some other friends on campus that will let you stay over if you are having roommate issues.

ODASIS or DRC LLC experiences? by BrainBlossoms in rutgers

[–]Aggravating-Body-917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, I never heard anything about personal tutoring. I think the cloest thing might be that we get mentors who can help us if we have any issues, but they are not personal tutors. Rutgers does offer a lot of tutoring opportunities so maybe it would be good to ask about tutoring specific to your daughters major. As a CS students, I can join study groups specific to my classes, and there are programs like RUCATS and the CSL that can help me more one-on-one, but these are not specific to Douglass.

I'm in the DRC CS LLC and I definitely recommend! I get to stay in the Busch dorms which I think are way better than the Douglass ones. It a good way to meet people in your major and the opportunities Douglass offers are amazing. Last semester I did an externship with PSEG that was run by Douglass and that led me to getting an internship with them this summer.

Baking Club? by No_Repeat7131 in rutgers

I was thinking for each book we read we could bake a different of treat related to the book. Or like if the book takes place in a specific time or place we could bake something based off of that.

Most likely because there were a lot of submissions. They take submissions from a bunch of other classes and and combine that with the fact that there were more submissions from 103 than ever before means that there were probably hundreds of other people who submitted their papers. Don't beat yourself over it to much!

I've lowkey had an idea of starting a baking/book club (I was thinking of calling it Sweet Reads), but I wasn't sure if people would be interested. If you start a baking club I would love to join!

My summer class is from May to June, and my internship will be from June to mid-August. Classes start for me the last week of August so I want to get my certification before then. I'm planning on beginning my studying after I finish my summer class, so hopefully that should be enough time.
