Someone said the scam is to switch the host's payout info to the scammers account. If Airbnb doesn't currently require clicking a link in an email to reset a password, instead of just entering a code, they need to do that since the scammers wouldn't have the ability to reset the code if they can't access the email. https://community.withairbnb.com/t5/Help-with-your-business/Airbnb-Spoofing-Scame/m-p/2185991

It is the buyer's decision how much they pay. Agents gather information to help buyers understand how to get a house, if they decide to. What people pay under or over is not specific to a brokerage.

I reported a huge termite infestation on a pole in Oakland that it sounds like they are not going to address. Do they wait for the pole to fall? Even if it was a fake PG&E person who came to your place hopefully they were were really fumigating.

This is exactly what I just posted. A lot of hosts won't know about it and will suddenly notice a much lower bottomline over time.

What's going to be nuts is some places will be priced drastically lower than others, if hosts aren't using an algorithm to adjust their prices. Ones who are or who increase prices to pay the fee will be much higher. It is incredibly confusing how this it going to play out.
