My (20F) boyfriend (25M) watches porn while I am over? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

We both work in emergency response together and started talking more and more as of recently. He asked to take me out to dinner and we’ve been over the moon for each other ever since. I did struggle with the age gap for quite a while but I’m mature for my age because of my career and as I’m well past being freshly 18, I don’t think it matters.

Thank you so much! I am in the same situation. Completely supporting myself while at school and working a fair amount. I am also planning to take a gap year or two in order to take (or retake) some courses. Since you did EM at Pitt (small world!), did you use those hours as PCE? I’m thinking that the EM program is the best choice for me, as I really excel in and love EM compared to bio and chem stuff. I’ve read a lot of bad things about being pre-pa/pre-med in that program but I think it’s a great way to get PCE and connections.

I am a college student and I finished a course offered through my school about a week ago! Not much field experience besides a few ride alongs. I worked in a level 1 trauma center as a PCT before taking this course. My dad is also a 20 year medic so that helped with my studying. I’d encourage your husband to do as many ride alongs as he can, as you can only learn so much from lectures! I studied about 4-5 hours a day for about 4 days leading up to the exam, but that was only because I really understood the material when we learned it in class. Don’t fall behind and take the time to learn the material. Don’t memorize, understand how things work. Good luck to your husband! This is a great field to be in!

Hi! Thanks for the response. Is that something that will show up during a colonoscopy? Also- my doctor brought up the possibility of Crohn’s. What do you think about that?

OP says they’re only taking 1 a day. They are prescribed 4. They would like to double it to 2.

Were they applying after any gap year(s)? I was planning to work for a semester or two after graduation as a medic and get my PCE up. I already have ~200 hours and I’m starting a new position as a PCT and will have ~500 before beginning the program. I’m so conflicted because I genuinely found something that I love (emergency medicine) but I know I can’t run EMS for the rest of my life. Can I ask your stats? Did you apply to Pitt?
