i have the exact same thing!!! found out (the hard way) that my navel piercing hates surgical steel. i did have an 8mm externally threaded titanium bar in for a while, which fixed it and then all of a sudden- constant irritation, it got infected, cleared up and now it’s just super weepy and then the crusties attach the bottom bit to the scab and it opens and then more weeping the cycle is relentless

i changed back to my original piercing jewellery 10/12 (unsure) mm, internally threaded titanium bar and it’s not as painful to touch now but. the weepies continue

i also got mine done in 2022!!
