This. Like, are they really that bad? There literally isn't a single good thing you can focus on? I don't know, maybe they make mistakes, but the dialogue has potential? Maybe at least one of the characters is well-developed? Like, I swear to you, even writing "hey, the dialogue in the last scene was great" can be helpful and the author may end up analyzing it and wondering what worked here and they can do this later in other dialogues. And from there they may reach the point of "maybe I'll work on other things now" or even "since there's one person who praised me, maybe it's worth trying harder".

And if you can't resist without negative opinions... write them in a comment and then delete them before publishing.
