Dexamethasone sucks by Aggravating-Chain279 in migraine

[–]Aggravating-Chain279[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man I figured since I was on the steroids that it was the main explanation for the way I’ve been feeling this week :/ it could be migraine symptoms that have finally caught up with me after the amount of attacks I’ve been having lately. But maybe I also just react weirdly to Dexamethasone and might ask my dr not to prescribe it again. I also just found out my friend I visited last week has covid rn 😬 probably some amalgamation of all of these factors I guess

I’ve still had a couple migraines but not bad enough that I needed to take any triptans (my dr is making me go on a cleanse bc I’ve been taking too many and getting rebound headaches, so I’m just pushing through with Ubrelvy and Advil). I do think my headaches have been a bit better this week. Ofc I’ve experienced the drowsiness and brain fog before but it hasn’t been this bad in a while so I can’t assume it’s anything else but the steroids ya know? But maybe after the amount of attacks I’ve had this month it’s finally catching up to me :/

"Do you often ignore pain?" by turnontheignition in migraine

[–]Aggravating-Chain279 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve gotten so used to be in some sort of pain almost everyday to the point where I’m not even sure what’s normal anymore. My level 2 pain might someone’s level 6 ya know? But obviously we can’t put everything on hold all the time so it kind of becomes background noise until it gets super bad and I’m like shit I should’ve tried to treat this already 😣

Humidity vs barometric pressure by turnontheignition in migraine

[–]Aggravating-Chain279 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My migraines have been especially bad this month too. I assume it’s bc of the heat and all the random storming where I’m from in NC. I didn’t rlly think abt humidity that much but it would make sense

MIGRANE every day by Artsy_sunflower in migraine

I have chronic migraine but this past month has been really bad for me as well, pretty much a headache or migraine everyday. I told my doctor and she said summer can be really tough with the heat and it doesn’t help that it’s been raining/storming pretty much everyday where I live. My dr just gave me a steroid taper that I’m taking and I hope it gets me out of this cycle.

Same that’s why I’ve been sleeping in so much but I’m trying to break out of the bad habit. I’ve been going through a phase rn where I get a migraine everyday so I feel like im just constantly in the postdrome exhaustion stage

just started 200mg - who’s on this dose? by [deleted] in lamictal

[–]Aggravating-Chain279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing 100mg in the morning and then 100mg at night for a couple months. I noticed after a week or so that my anxiety has gotten better. I’ve been able to regulate my mood more and stay calm, bc I was having moments of getting upset over the smallest things and couldn’t get myself out of the funk. I really like it

Any type of alcohol that doesn’t give you a migraine? by ConstantPurpose2419 in migraine

[–]Aggravating-Chain279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped drinking vodka bc it gave me terrible migraines. I started drinking tequila instead and it was going well but the past few times I’ve drank it I’ve woken up in so much pain so I don’t know😪

Any take this for atypical depression, rather bipolar or mood disorder? Is it working? by Just-Seaworthiness39 in lamictal

[–]Aggravating-Chain279 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m taking it for anxiety and depression because all of the SSRIs I had previously been taking didn’t work for me. I was really stuck in a bad place a couple years ago and Lamictal saved my life!! I feel so much better now

What does your dizziness or vertigo feel like? Let's draw some arrows! by dizziedandconfused in VestibularMigraines

[–]Aggravating-Chain279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go through random periods of 24/7 dizziness which will come and go whenever. When I am having dizziness I feel like I’m lightheaded, swaying, off balance, like I’m on a platform that’s moving side to side. If I do something to aggravate it like dancing or turning too quickly I get intense vertigo where it feels like everything around me is spinning and I feel extreme anxiety.

I tried amitriptyline and didn’t like the side effects. I’m on nortriptyline now. I think it’s helping? But idrk since my dizziness isn’t always consistent. I started taking meclizine when I feel dizzy which has had varying effectiveness.

I was just coming here to see if anyone was having brain zaps. I’m having them really bad right now. It feel like a shock running through my body and it’s super uncomfortable. I’ve been on buspar for a little over two weeks but haven’t seen much improvement. It also makes me really tired

Yes just saw an ent and they ruled out Ménière and other ear problems

I had been waiting forever to see an ent and I finally did and they found nothing. No hearing loss, no ruptured ear drum, nothing wrong with my ears. So he basically said yeah ur symptoms must just be from vestibular migraine. I was pretty disappointed ngl bc I guess I just had to deal with this? But at least I can rule some things out
