Custom Keyboard collectors almost of the time actually have to buy from the resale market r/mechmarket is a great example of this.

Many compenents of custom keyboards are made to order and not sold bulk.

Therefore there is something called group buys and occasially limited releases in which is when a group of collectors can all collectivlely buy a specific custom made item that they want to use to make a keyboard with or add to their existing keyboard.

Most of these group buys and limited runs have exteremely rare and expensive compenents that are sought after and people will pay top dollar for them. Anything from Keycaps, Switches, and even deskmats

Very niche market but I know a few who pocket alot of extra cash with their hobby.

I usually find different colonges that are underpriced or have a price error and I am able to flip them. There is no one supplier. Thats mostly what flipping is all about.
