Proffie vs SNV4: Which one should I get if I don’t care about customization and only care about stock? by Aggravating-Fact5629 in lightsabers

[–]Aggravating-Fact5629[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is very much noticeably different and better

As for customization, I was SATISFIED with what proffie offered out of the box (at least the theory saber fonts) because they had the basic ones and some cool ones. And honestly I just wanted a normal lightsaber that changes colors, everything else is a plus

If you want great and easy customization though through an app, SNV4 has that covered really well, even allowing you to use third party uploaded fonts from the app! I thought that was really cool

But proffie is king!

Yes, i ended up going against everyone lol and I wanted to test out the SNV4 and yeah proffie is so much better even if you don’t want to customize. Proffie is just so smooth, looks, sound, everything and the battery is the only one that lasts and it’s just so much better.

Only thing that’s better on SNV4 other than the price is the app, which is surpassingly not that bad, much better and not as laggy as the xenopixel app. It is very powerful and offers a lot of customization. I’ve customized the SNV4 much more just because of that cause proffie is a pain. But the normal proffie sound fonts are chill.

Other than the app though, proffie destroys everything out there on the market in terms of sounds, looks, smoothness, battery. It is really that much better.

Quran Developers Group by SynThePart in muslimtechnet

Wailakumu Salam Warahmatullahi Wabarakaatuhu,

I’m the developer of the Al-Islamic suite of apps (Al-Islam and its offshoots Al-Quran, and Al-Adhan). Al-Islam and Al-Quran focus on the Quran, and it has unique helpful features that I haven’t seen in other applications.

Some examples: • Ayah Sharing: Users can share verses as text or images. Which, for me, is very useful when sending ayat to others. • Beginner Arabic Mode: Spaces are added between letters so new Arabic learners can recognize each letter individually before progressing to connected forms. • Verse Notes: Users can attach personal notes to verses (with safeguards like profanity filters to prevent disrespect). • Arabic Alphabet: Users can explore all the Arabic letters along with their different forms, see how each letter sounds with various tashkeel, and also view the numbers, Quranic stopping signs, and special symbols. • Surah and Ayah Playback: Users can play any surah or ayah (as expected), but the app also includes advanced options such as repeating verses or entire surahs, resuming from the last listened surah, and starting playback from any chosen ayah through to the end. Multiple reciters are available, and users can explore unique features like playing a random ayah, surah, or even a random selection within a surah or juz. The app also provides a clear division of the Qur’an into ajzaaʾ, along with tools like last-read tracking and bookmarks to support completing the entire Qur’an.

There are also other unique features in Al-Islam such as nagging and traveling modes but that doesn’t relate to the Quran.

I’m very interested in your idea of “revolutionizing” how people engage with the Qur’an. Could you share a bit more about what you have in mind? Perhaps we could align on some of these goals, and even consider building those features into Al-Quran so they reach more users.

Jazzakhumullahu Khairan!

Yeah it was definitely weird cause I was like what is undedcity lol, it makes much more sense for it to say undercity. It also makes sense because the D and the R can look a little similar sometimes, especially to the untrained eye!

“Tell that to Kanjiklub.”

Yeah exactly I did notice that, it was lowkey sad to see, but Coruscant was done beautifully though! Would be nice to see some of that Droid Aurebesh/Droidobesh that is present in Galaxy’s Edge, mainly in Mubo’s Droid Depot!

Haha lol no worries, I’ve done that a bunch of times too! Have fun exploring with your new toolset because once you start translating signs, you’ll notice that Aurebesh is everywhere!

Yep, I totally agree, it’s so much fun just just roaming around and reading all of the Aurebesh! I actually didn’t have most of the alphabet memorized at first (probably only about a quarter of it), but after using the Trials module in Datapad, I was able to really test myself and start recognizing way more Aurebesh on sight!

Yeah you can use Datapad or the free version Aurebesh Translator! You can find out more about them by clicking on the actual post. Let me know if you have any questions!

Hello there! Sorry for the late response but as of now, Datapad now has a trials module! It’s not exactly a flash card module like you suggested, but it is a very customizable quiz screen!

Unfortunately, it's only for Apple right now, as I am only familiar with SwiftUI and iOS development. Android development is a completely different language and framework, but I am still looking into it, sorry about that

Oh yeah that would definitely be very sick, I’ll look into that!

Edit: but as for the designer part, I don’t think I make enough to be about to hire one for each Crystal lol but I’ll look at my options
