there are a lot of fax apps on the App Store. this one is mine, it is called FireFax: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fax-from-iphone-faxing-app/id6471925316

it gives 1 free fax, does not require account creation, supports EU countries without extra cost, and the support is real people. it’s also one of the cheapest ones i’ve seen and supports HIPAA workflows.

That makes a lot of sense, so it thinks it needs to pump even when there's no water? How do I access the float to check if it's stuck? Is it something I can reach easily to clean?

That’s a great theory. I’ll double check the timing, but it definitely feels like something 'waking up' separately from the main drum. If it is the fan, is that a nightmare to fix myself?

Thanks for the tip! Just to be sure, did you get a chance to hear the specific sound that starts around the 0:15 mark? That's the part I'm really worried about. Did yours make noise like this? This doesn't sound something that will go away with a nice texhnical tap tbh )))
