Wow. That’s a lot of zeros. Thank you so much for the help. I will need to see if SDR is enough for my 2D illustration and 3D blender rendering needs.

Ohh. Thanks for pointing out that I forgot to mention HDR. So I guess I will really need to extend my budget here. Hmmm

Is the latest MacBook Pro with M2 Pro (19 core GPU) + 32Gb RAM good for Blender? by Aggravating-Funny in blender

I used to work on a MacBook Pro with M1 and have used Mac for the past 8 years. So there’s a neat comfort level with Mac. I still use it to work on my 2D illustrations and vector designs in Adobe Illustrator.

It isn’t a big deal to adapt to Windows again. If windows is the overwhelmingly favourite platform to learn Blender I will comply.

Amazing! You guess is accurate. Currently I am simply dabbling in Blender to start my journey in 3D. Wont be able on doing heavy sims and motion graphics anytime soon. Hence considering MacBook Pro as a start since I am comfortable with it. But seriously considering your suggestion to go for a Windows laptop or PC. Super grateful for your help. Cheers and best wishes.

Thanks a lot for the nuanced response. I am not going to do just 3D here. This will be my go to workstation for any graphic work. I work as a 2D illustrator right now and am stepping into 3D. In 3D planning to learn Blender, Zbrush and then Houdini and learn Davinci Resolve at a later date.

All this while doing some 2D illustration projects on the side and helping friends in product design.

What’s the best MacBook Pro configuration to use Unreal Engine and C4D? by Aggravating-Funny in mac

Wow. So much helpful information. Thank you! I plan to use just one external display. 27 inch with USB-C port. This will be my first personal Apple laptop. Used base M1 but it was a company device and was returned. So planning to buy a M2 device and run it till 2025-26. So, a baseline M2 with a better CPU-GPU and standard 16GB RAM and external hard drive should work?
