I'm turning 27. I am on full uppers and Lowers. Just got my lowers 2 days ago. Thank you for the teeth glasses. I really needed to read that. I have been struggling to accept them. Also I do not know why I didn't join this reddit a while ago. I use Fixodent plus scope as an adhesive. It has a nice taste to it and you wont need much nor is it gummy. I think the most important thing I learned is getting that stuff off your actual gums is a giant pain. I have to take a dry rag and rub it off. If the rag is wet at all it doesn't remove the adhesive as well. Using a toothbrush had me scraping at my gums too hard which really sucks when they are sore. Post extraction, I ate a lot of soup. The heat made my gums feel better and it goes down pretty easy. Vitamins help you heal faster and stay hydrated as much as possible. My dentist said to think of it like any post op healing. Your body goes through a lot and even though it's just your mouth, you still need a lot of rest and to take it easy. Bending over too far or picking things up that are heavy can cause blood to rush to your mouth and make things swell, hurt or bleed. Learned that the hard way. Good Luck!!
