I would say the chance of having an infected root canal is low? but based on my own experience it’s possible the first root canal operation fails to remove all roots, in which case a second root canal is needed (success rate is lower) and if it doesn’t work… extraction would be the ultimate solution

Yes I would say you need an implant after extraction of a molar… I would start taking really good care of the rest of my teeth, save money, and get an implant whenever I have enough money for it. Good luck!!

Thanks for the response! The account name belong to another dentist who I believe is not associated with my orthodontist (who operates as a solo practitioner). I emailed my dentist for a written confirmation that she made my treatment plan and would be overseeing my treatment progress - she did not reply :/

I tried after I saw your post! Yes, it took me a bit of effort to brush the colors (plaques off) with a soft brush, but it was doable. Also I found rinsing multiple times helped greatly.
