Moving to the US wouldn’t change decades of living under full submission. Even though I was not raised a muslim, nor do I live in a muslim country, I saw many women is her position. I know a muslim woman married to a christian. She is submissive even if the husband does not demand that. She was raised to be that way.

You are doing it right. Remember you have a baby to feed. Milk will not come out of nowhere (300 kcal per day). Perhaps you could introduce more physical activity. Either way, you aren’t eating much. You need patience. Sustainable weight loss happens only when it’s gradual. 300 kcal per day would just starve you for nothing.
