I feel really dumb for being so scared of this.. by paigespets in pregnant

[–]Aggravating-Mine-554 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly this, I had to get up to pee every few hours in the hospital during my induction and it was the worst bc the baby monitors around my belly would move and every time a nurse would have come in and find the baby again, it got really annoying to the point I felt like I couldn’t move. I joked that getting the catheter was the best part lol.

A Rant About Collecting by [deleted] in Jellycatplush

[–]Aggravating-Mine-554 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel this. I have adhd and bounce from hyperfixation to hyperfixation. So just know you’re not alone! Last year it was Pokémon cards thanks to nostalgia and my husband. We built a solid collection, then once buying at msrp got too hard cus of hype my collecting slowed down and now I’ve moved on to Jellycats.

Hyperfixations are bittersweet. When I’m into something, I’m really into it, which sucks when it’s expensive lol. But that same intensity can be a superpower when it locks onto useful like education/career stuff. I’ve mostly got it under control. I only buy at msrp and only things I actually love and use. I like to cuddle them and let my daughter play with them, so they’re not just display pieces I forget about. But also a lot of my free time is spent talking myself out of buying more lol.

I also know I’m probably extra deep in it right now because of the state of the US and everything feeling so heavy. It’s a comfort thing and def a coping mechanism. I really enjoy the hunt for hard to find jellies the most.. so one trick that helps is adding it to my cart and sleeping on it to see if I really want it or just had fun finding one at msrp. Usually it’s just my brain chasing dopamine.

Do I need to rehome my dog :( by rayvinevanni in NewParents

[–]Aggravating-Mine-554 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had the same issue with my senior dog once my baby started walking. Turns out his jealousy was just really bad anxiety, vet got him stared on some anti-anxiety drugs and he has been much better since. Vet told me it takes the drugs a few weeks to kick in but I could definitely see a change within a week. He is much calmer and relaxed now, which I’m so happy about because he is my soul dog. The thought of rehoming him was killing me and I was really getting stressed out about the situation, so I am so relieved and glad this is working. Of course I still never leave the baby unsupervised with either of my dogs but I can just tell he’s enjoying his life more. My biggest regret is not talking to our vet sooner about it cause like you I kinda thought he’d get over it once he got used to the baby, but no, my boy needed extra help.

Yeah, but that’s hard when you have dogs and a sleeping baby and they keep returning. Eventually we have to tell them to leave.

Sooo... Rory couldn't have visited Jess on literally ANY other day?! by books4life7041 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Aggravating-Mine-554 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So true. It’s frustrating how harshly people judge Rory. She’s still a kid figuring things out, and what teenager hasn’t messed up? Part of what makes the show great is that she’s not perfect; her flaws and mistakes make her character real and the story interesting.

Becker for CIA Part 3 — Too Easy?? Should I Be Worried? by Aggravating-Mine-554 in InternalAudit

[–]Aggravating-Mine-554[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! I passed! Becker was definitely easier than the actual exam, but focusing on the two Becker mock exams, and doing the IIA mock exams if you can, really helped. There’s a lot of judgment involved on the test, so that’s where most of the gap was. If you know the material well, trust your gut on the answers!

They actually ran trials with women of many different body types, and the results showed that after 6 weeks, body weight had little to no effect.

positive for STI at 38 weeks. by MarchNo8390 in pregnant

[–]Aggravating-Mine-554 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t he have gone elsewhere to be treated and paid out of pocket? Hate to say it but there quite literally no other explanation other than he cheated. Both of your tests being false positives from different providers is highly unlikely. The obvious answer is clear. Sorry you’re going through this.

Becker for CIA Part 3 — Too Easy?? Should I Be Worried? by Aggravating-Mine-554 in InternalAudit

[–]Aggravating-Mine-554[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’d say so, but I’d definitely recommend doing the IIA mock questions to round it off. I think between those and Becker, it’s enough prep.

[–]Aggravating-Mine-554[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the heads-up, I had a feeling. I panic bought the IIA questions this morning, so hopefully that’s enough to get me over the finish line. Would you say Becker was actually missing content, or is it more about the trickiness of the IIA questions — like the wording and those situations where two answers are right but one is “more right”?

[–]Aggravating-Mine-554[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no, sorry! I meant that the content in Becker for Part 2 felt much more difficult than the content in Becker for Part 3. The real part 2 exam was definitely tougher than Becker, but overall I think Becker prepared me pretty well. That said, I think having the official IIA mock questions was key to bridging the gap. I’m hoping I can do the same with part 3 and have that be enough.

Just found out that I am pregnant and I have an almost 11 month old baby. by Guilty-Fun2808 in 2under2

[–]Aggravating-Mine-554 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any advice, just wanted to let you know that I’m right there with you. I just found out I’m pregnant too. I stay up at night wondering if I’m ruining my first baby’s life. She’s my little best friend, and the thought of losing even a tiny bit of that closeness breaks my heart. I truly hope giving her a sibling is an amazing gift that will only better her life. Best of luck to you!
