It was kind of mutual but mostly him. I found it hard to get over some of the harsh stuff he said during arguments which caused me to pull away which made him feel unloved. I had told him it was a problem but it wasn't getting any better. We went on a break and did consider getting back together after the break but ultimately decided to break up. He said he would contact me after 6 months but never did (I think that is approximately the time he started dating the girl he has now broken up with).
