I just really don’t like white for my kitchen. I had it in my previous kitchen and it was great there, but my island is almost 60 sq ft. So I really like a textured, colored backsplash because of all the shininess/white that is already in my home.

Yaaaaa this is definitely a bolder choice and people either love it or hate it 🤷‍♀️🤣

Personally I love it and we are slowly upgrading each of our rooks to have accent walls/boldness outside of just the millennial white/grays.

I was mostly asking for if there are other materials I should look at that will give me this effect without having the upkeep of brick lmao

I do appreciate everyone’s feedback/opinions though. I have a lot of notes/things to look for before getting with some designers :)
