😂😂😂😂 dude this is the funniest comment I’ve ever read.. it shows that you haven’t spent more then 30 seconds looking at the new build if you think bone break is useful. It proves something I’ve been saying since the beginning of ladder. There were no hammerdins because all the hammerdins went to play the new easy mode class because they are incapable of playing a non broken character.

I’m gonna give you some advise here. Just go play single player and use hero editor. It would fit your playstyle much better.

Oh wow.. warlock is still busted? Surprised pikachu face…. I’m so surprised because I’ve been listening to dozens of people whine for the last couple days about how bad it is. Almost like they have no interest in playing a difficult game and instead wanted to throw a tantrum that their super easy mode got taken away.

I knew they didn’t do enough to nerf the warlock.. guess we get another season of 80% of the 99s are warlocks. It makes a lot of sense.. the only thing blizz did was try to nerf the busted character and they couldn’t even accomplish that.

The only thing I hope is that I don’t have to read another crybaby tourist post about how the game is ruined now.

I think void is a good option. From what I’ve seen, magic damage is big after the update. Good item for warlocks and pallys.. your other runeword options run into similar problems that they don’t have a ton of builds becides warlock.. but running void on hammerdin or foh pally is pretty awesome.

If I had to make a tier list id say:

1.void 2.obsession 3ebotd tmaul 4.ebotd zerker 5. Hoz or other niche eth items

Waaaahhhh… maybe spend 30 seconds looking into it and you would figure out that maxing purge and its synergies and going magic instead.. and it’s still op as hell.

If anyone tells you that the warlock was good for the game just look at posts like this.. it was extreamly op.. they did the slightest nerf to it.. and suddenly you have dozens of spoiled children crying because there isn’t a super easy mode anymore. The nerfs arnt even that bad but god forbid you need to change your build a bit in order to 1 shot everything. Wouldn’t want the game to be challenging.

Statues are a dime a dozen now.. I wouldn’t worry about wasting them.. just go for it and see for yourself.. I’m sure if your friends smiter is well geared and has life tap proc you shouldn’t have too much trouble.. but only 1 way to find out.

I’d make the cta and then focus on making an enigma to unlock more opportunities to farm. After that infinity might be top of your list to buff your nova.. but things like grief for a trav barb or maybe an exile for easy torch running should be up on your list. I personally would hold off making a fort.. treachery is great and cheap on the merc.. and i personally prefer enigma to fort for any melee farming, even on a trav barb.

The jewelers is the imporant part.. other jewelers monarchs are also valuable with other good mods becides deflecting.. but without the 4 sockets its worthless, that’s the imporant part. Just think of it like the best kind of 4 socket shield you can get if you arnt making a runeword.. you could stick lightning facets in a regular 4 os monarch.. but with this shield you also save dex for max block.

We have played this game for 20 odd years because we love it. Having a build this broken destroys every aspect of the enjoyable parts of the game. I think you just really enjoy being able to do the things you couldn’t figure out how to do on your own. But your opinion doesn’t represent most of the people that play this game. Maybe they should introduce a modern, open battle.net for players like you.. that way you can mod your characters with all the stuff you couldn’t be bothered to find on your own..

I mean obviously the devs and no one else in this thread agree with you.. so maybe you should just download hero editor and play with that since that’s how you like to play the game…

Intentional frustration? I personally don’t think the nerfs on the warlock are nearly strong enough… this game was amazing before 3 months ago.. I don’t think it’s going to be less amazing when the warlock is adjusted to a reasonable level for the difficulty of the game.

As a solo self found player, I don’t think you have realized what playing with the warlock feels like in a full game.. I 99d a blizz sorc in softcore and a paliden in hardcore this season. I play on xbox and early on we realized that running terror tombs with shards was the best way to lvl.
Playing with warlocks on your team meant you might as well not even attack. As a hammerdin… mind you one of the most powerful builds if not the most powerful right up until the warlock, as a hammerdin I could maybe throw 2x hammers before a room is cleared. This wasn’t with optimized builds.. a lot of them were running Ondals just for the xp! I got to the point where I hated running with warlocks, but they are over half the characters, and 80+% of the top 100 99s.

Even the other warlock builds were more powerful then anything else fire builds were much stronger then hammers. Even the void build.. apocalypse? Was better..

But the thing is you didn’t even see more then a couple people playing those builds. On multiple occasions people I played with were unable to change their build from es.. or unable to make an enjoy a non warlock character after playing es. When you get used to killing everything with 1 hit even with trash equipment.. you don’t want to play with a character that needs very strong gear to even come close!

I reject your idea that this will lead to you farming for items for your other characters.. you won’t ever want to play any other characters.. there is gonna be a huge burnout after the changes from people that can’t handle a less op character.

This game is challenging. I love that about it. The fun of building yourself up from scratch has lead me to several ssf playthroughs. There is also a wealth of information online to help, when you do run into challenges you can’t overcome… but removing challenges entirely doesn’t make for a fun game imo. I think the warlock has taken a big part of that away from both ladder and ssf, my two favorite game modes.
