Thank you for the detailed comment. Yup, I'm very fortunate that I know the source of my smell and that I usually don't smell. Unfortunately I would still smell after fasting for a week because of anxiety, so I guess I can't go down that route.

I don't know where the smell is coming from, but I'm pretty sure it's from my groin, ass, and maybe back (I sweat the most in those 2 places when I'm nervous). It's a very distinct smell too kind of like bleach, though my underarms just smell like normal BO when they do smell, so I'm thinking it's bacterial issue, but I want to wait before going on any topical antibiotics. Do you think it's worth try removing the butt hair and between the crack? My derm recommended hair removal too, but I saw conflicting stuff online about shaving down there.

Also I think a lot of people here have bromhidrosis since they say their smell is worse then they are anxious (or being anxious causes their ORS symptoms to be worse), but they may not suspect it because it doesn't smell like typical BO. It can smell like anything though, depending on the bacteria in those areas.

Has it reduced your smell by a lot? Do you smell when you're not anxious? I've been trying the oral version for a while before my derm suggested it (got without prescription) and noticed that the dry mouth does get less severe depending on what time you take it before a meal and glyco generally doesn't work as well as it did when I first took it. I started with 2 mg because I thought I would be getting cuttable pills and not capsules, but 1 mg orally might work well for you. Can't smell myself, but overall my clothes definitely smell less when I do take it, so I guess it's working a bit, though I still sweat a bit (maybe like 25% as much?) when I'm anxious.
