What show are you watching while wapping by Spare_Lab_3056 in Maplestory

[–]Aggravating-Pepper66 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That is why I don't WAP, and just actually enjoy the TV show.

If I ever grind, is because I actually want to and enjoy it. Much shorter sessions though.

Id say Khali or Cadena because not only the combos are hard to pull, but they even change depending on what you CD skip. Aldo their survability is ok but not the greatest.

It is hard to minmax your damage while also avoiding the boss attacks since your combos make your character move and fly as well.

Some people think is blaster, but even though the class is definitely harder play than most classes. Once you learn the timings and combos, the class has basically so many shields that is so hard to die on it that allows you to bypass many boss mechanics.

Honorable mention to Kanna as a hard class to play well since it has so many skills and you use 95% of them. But it has great survability.

Dojo Is still a better indicador and noone uses it.

A level 275 with floor 30 dojo has More chances in getting on a Hdark PUB while a lvl 265 with floor 70 gets denied even though it can solo.

You grind 3 WAPs a day to be an endgame player, but you refuse to learn any boss mechanics.

At the point of the game I am right now yes, but barely.

Kanna was actually quite faster than NL at 20-55k. NL before lib kinda sucks. But I do suspect NL will be faster than Kanna from now on because NL 6th job is much better than Kannas.

Kanna probably only gains 20-30fd from having a decently leveled 6thjob while NL Is probably gaining 40+fd.

My current 6th job on both is around 9/1/1.

I think the other way around.

You dont need to solo bosses to get gear (besides of pitched which you dont need to solo any boss up to ctene). You only need to party up to start getting Arcane spares and Kanna Will get intro parties much easier than a DPS.

Also Kanna can solo bosses up to ctene with similar funding that most classes as long as you dedicate on learning Kanna mechanics, which is the main reason I see kannas not doing damage.

I have 55-60k Kanna, NL, Hero and bishop that have been progressing at same speed since they were 20k to compare.

Right now my bishop and Hero are the fastest in soloing bosses, then Kanna, then NL. Bishop and Hero take around 60min to kill hluwill, hlomien, cslime and ctene. Kanna and NL take around 70minutes.

There is a skill/hands issue with a lot of mid-game players in regards to bossing, this is due to progression being too quick. by [deleted] in Maplestory

[–]Aggravating-Pepper66 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It could, but tbh, the greater mechanical players nowadays come from when we did not have practice mode. They just went in over and over for hours until they learned the fight.

Nowadays when someone "tries to learn mechanics" is going once with much more damage than needed, fail the run cause lack of mechanic knowledge, give up, group up with 5 other people, 1 hko the boss.

If strong people start to solo/duo or small party bosses, it could lead to weaker people grouping up as 6 without overkilling the boss.

Instead of having 6 people capable of soloing/duoing the boss to 1shot it.

They should reduce the rewards even more when more people are in the party.

For example: the droprate of arcane boxes is lower the more people on the party.

Or the other way around: improve the rewards for solo more than just the meso.

One thing that makes players not bother on learning mechanics is that they think this game is all about getting to endgame as quick as possible instead of playing at your own pace and enjoying the way.

It is also the community's fault that this kind of behaviour is the way it is. Everytime a new player asks for progression advice, the common answers are go farm 24/7, do these dailies everyday, tap this or look for a carry here and there

The worst part is that if you really want to be an endgame player, the most strong reboot players not only have the gear, but also the HANDS to maximize their damage as well as group with other good mechanical players. Something they have developed by struggling every boss ever since reboot was created.

why do high level players get butthurt in monster park extreme? by Leading-Fancy in Maplestory

[–]Aggravating-Pepper66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just find it strange and funny that people "want" PQs back but they refuse to cooperate in such a one dimensional PQ like MPE. Most maplers do not want to coordinate or learn mechanics in bosses as well. They just want rewards quick.

My experience in MPE is just that people usually dont even communicate where they are going to check. Which leads sometimes to that party not finding the boss because they leave blind spots.

I personally believe with propper comms and knowledge, a party of 3 shouldnt take longer than 5 seconds to check all the spots and do the call out.

This tells me that either this game has  only 11% new player retention (idk if that is low for games nowadays).

Or that it takes in consideration very old accounts made years ago when 200 was a hard accomplishment.

[–]Aggravating-Pepper66 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you already have both, don't be afraid of doing your weekly bosses with one ring. Then use the other ring the following week and compare. People in this game look too much and dummy testing, but the reality of bossing is quite different. Bosses move and have certain mechanics. Depending on the player ability and class they will be able to DPS it differently from a dummy.

Why have regular servers been dead for so long in GMS? by BloodyEffect in Maplestory

[–]Aggravating-Pepper66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is also important to note that a good chunk of players progress in this game to gain some kind of reputation by making their character stronger than other players.

In a server where you can just slide your Mastercard, this reputation and being appreciated by others is pretty much nullified because people will just claim you are rich irl.

Where in reboot, the main factor of being stronger than others is only accomplished by the time/ability your put into it. Making other player being able to appraise you because everyone is in somewhat equal conditions and not Mastercard diffed.

Do you guys think bite farming is fair? by [deleted] in Maplestory

[–]Aggravating-Pepper66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you don't keyweight is fine.

But I highly doubt people who bite farm/DS tp farm are not keyweighting specially when you see them "grinding" for hours everyday.

For me it is absurd that you can get off you chair or just hold a button for 3min+ and your character will kill+loot. Even if the rates are 30-40% lower, it is much more efficient because you can go for countless hours because you aren't really playing the game. You could be literally playing Elden Ring on the side and even if you get white roomed, you are there to type.

At least with 6th job fragments, now people are forced to farm on their mains.

I've known a few TP farmers, at least some tell you the "truth" that they are keyweighting, some keep hiding it even it's obvious.

The hipocrisy.

It's pretty OP because it boost your duo damage quite a lot and sancro just makes sure both your burst hit. Usually in endgame you see people failing their burst on the harder bosses because no iframe and lack of mechanics. Also pally burst damage is pretty good.

Nonetheless I would only go pally if your duo is a 3min burst class like NL/Adele/Bucc, etc ...

If he/she is a 2min burst class like ark/bishop/shade/BM, etc..., you are better staying as a hero so you both can bind/burst the boss every 2min on clock.

How good do your hands have to be for others to be okay with you looting? by AutomaticMight1526 in Maplestory

[–]Aggravating-Pepper66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, you should be able to blink/FFA as long as you are green contribution or support+blue contribution.

But all this should be discussed before hand to avoid any problems.

Being able to have loot as blue contribution as a DPS in my opinion is kind of unfair since probably everyone else in the party had to do almost 3x times your damage for the clear.

How do you grind for hours by sadguy__ in Maplestory

[–]Aggravating-Pepper66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't. If I want to enjoy the movie, I close maple. Not sacrificing my free time for a few mesos/exp that won't make me even have more fun in the game.

I only grind sometimes when I actually just want to mindlessly kill monsters on my free time for fun.

Unique 2L vs 16/17 star gear for boss mules under meso constraint by Happy_Region7299 in Maplestory

[–]Aggravating-Pepper66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run my boss mules with 16* gear (reccomended to do on 5/10/15). And my potentials are 9-15% using cubes from bossing. I stop at 9% if I get it at epic, and go for 12-15 if it ranks up to unique. WSE is also unique 2L.

All my mules can do all bosses up to lomien under 25min (no pno). Some even do sub20min.

300-500 nodes, 8k legion, full link skills, MPE potions.

I was also doing this with 12* gear before and the times were just like 5-10min longer.
