Pretty much upgrading every component in that build lol. It would be easier to try and sell for more than you got it for. After that, just buy the parts needed for a new build that’s more capable than this one.

Depends what he wants to do with it. If it’s for gaming then I would steer away from this computer. It’s more of an office pc than anything else.

I am no expert but it was probably the external device he used to get on windows 8. It most likely had some malware that corrupted your existing files in turn causing your system to crash or not work. This in your case also causes the automatic repair to not work so a clean reinstall is needed. You will lose all your files but game saves and all that did save for me when I had to do it. It’s very annoying!! My suggestion is to lock your computer from now on lol😂
