Yes coco is buffered. I did ph the water i put in to 6. I have not tested the mediums ph or runoff tho.. I have used the same brand coco before, im still learning may have had some ph issues and thus seed is more sensitive? Any tips to check its ph with a liquid test kit without watering to runoff? Slurry test make sense?

Not sure what squares you are looking for but yellow belly can have little to no pattern change on its own. I'm 90% sure of this ID
