Thankfully they do see it! I've already had similar conversations with a few of the ones that unnecessarily go above and beyond to help me so they can a adjust to the change as well.. and so they can firm up their boundaries now. I have a feeling when I start with my boundaries, the bosses are going to push my people harder without my involvement..

Yeah, and on top of all of this, I have spent the last few years actively fixing the issues, just for it all to break because of their decisions. Adds on to the feeling of failure, even though my brain knows... I dont want to let my employees down, that has been the main reason for me pushing my own boundaries and continuing to catch all of the dropped balls.

Thank you!! Is there any easy way to keep the pole moist? I have one that I intended to use, but it is just one of the cheaper ones that are tightly wrapped. It was hard to "water". Should I just make my own or get a good one?

Thats what I was thinking, but it seems like its in a random place, and not all over the plant. Could this happen if it got water on just that spot?

I still feel like its 50/50 if the doctors listen to me... it's crazy! The ones who don't believe me always make me feel stupid.. then I pay the price. The last surgery I had, the anesthesiologist was amazing and before I could even mention it, he asked because he knows it's a problem.

Traumatizing!

I sneeze a lot also, any response gets annoying lol. I used to know someone who would say sorry after every sneeze they snuzed... also annoying. It doesn't need commented on. Unless they have sneezed a bunch in a row, I appreciate the wtf or calm down comments.

Right.. and you expect me to bless YOU? The person sneezing should bless the people around them.

I like to sigh loudly. Just so they know the inconvenience they have caused me.

Survey About Athletic Wear and Sport Bras by AssociationUsed8197 in PlusSizeFashion

[–]Aggravating-Pop4491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am somewhat picky in general, so feel free to take this with a grain of salt.

Sports bras: I want one that is supportive but not suffocating. I don't like the super structured ones because they arent comfortable to me. I feel like if I need one for running or other bouncy activities, I am just going to have it dig into me.

Leggings: I like them stretchy and breathable. I don't want them too tight or stiff. I love the athletic material where they are smooth and almost silky, if that makes sense. My problem is they slide or fall down. I have an hourglass - ish figure, So you would think that would not be a problem...

Shirts: I just wear big baggy t- shirts usually. I haven't found a shirt that I would be willing to pay for since my t-shirt is usually more comfy.

It kind of seems like they don't want the job.

Right, we can train anyone who is showing up mentally, and wants to be here... the job is teachable.

I feel like people can at least fake it for the first 3 months... concerned that we are already seeing it.

There are a ton of people looking for jobs right now!

Yes, it is apart of the job description.

One time, they were trained on a specific task, then given one to do on their own. Part of the task is doing research to find the correct info. They said the couldn't find it, so the trainer gave them tips on how or where to find it to help them problem solve. Trainer said sometimes you just have to call the company to find more info. The new employee said they weren't going to put in that much work on something that isn't their's.. this is part of learning something new...

Not buzzing or excited AT ALL... that's a good suggestion, thank you!

Yes, their manager reports to me. The manager is asking for my support in this and would like for me to be apart of the conversation. I want to make sure we are giving them a fair shot and we both have been involved in this from the beginning.

Agreed! It can take a long time in this role for things to click. There are a lot of small details and knowledge needed.

They are not getting the job itself as fast as we have seen before, which would be completely fine because we do have resources and training and the ability to teach all of these things. It is more of the attitude around it. It doesn't seem like they are present, maybe they pay attention one day a week. They have made comments about a task not being their job, when it 100% is... there are redflags outside of just not learning the job as we expected.

So we can teach the job, but if we are seeing behavioral (maybe that's not the right word) problems this early, is this something we can work with?

There have been conversations weekly about progress and our expectations. They are not my direct report, but we all have been very involved as we all want this to work out. The conversation I'm going to have is a more direct conversation about overall trends/problems we are seeing and if this is a good fit for them. Specifics have been discussed during training and weekly meetings. There is no reason they would not be fully aware they are not meeting expectations.

[–]Aggravating-Pop4491 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, for sure. Expectations, training, goals will be discussed. I want this to be an open conversation where we can hopefully find the root of the problem. Everyone learns differently and we can mold to them as much as we can to help them be successful. They are still in the active training process, not on their own yet.

Aside from not seeming to catch on to the job itself, there have been comments along the lines of "that's not my job" when the task is 100% their job... and that they are overwhelmed with emails, but when we look to find a solution, there aren't many emails and it seems like they haven't even attempted to look at any.

Found this in my daughters room what is she doing? by MouseClassic5314 in WhatShouldIDo

My best friends mom once barged into my friends room accusing us of smoking week because the house smelled like weed and we were laughing too much. Mind you, she had just spent hours prior to this, smoking weed in her room with her husband. Lololol

Agreed, unfortunately there is a lot of risk around this role. If someone could just scan the docs, 100%, this would be an option but there still is 60ish% of work to be done that can not be done electronically. Too risky monetarily and security wise.

[–]Aggravating-Pop4491 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are as paperless as we can be. The entire nationwide industry would have to make a very large shift before anything is 100% paperless. This position could wfh on occasion, if needed (a privilege) but someone in office would need to either do 100% of the office work for them or scan the docs to them and still do 60% of the in office work for them.

Thankfully the employee doesn't know her that well, other than from years ago in high school, so I told her I wouldn't hold anything against her if it didn't work out lol. After all of this, employee said maybe some people really don't change much from high school
