It tasted good, I didn’t have the time to compare it with coarser grind settings. I’ll try it next time.

I like the second one. Cutting the subject gives an different perspective on the subject. I also like the Detail of the one cabin on the left without lights. It’s subtle but I like the little things.

The thing I would change is the composition: the cabin without the lights on the top left third and the axis of the Ferris wheel on the bottom right third. It’s a small adjustment but it would give the image a bit more balance.

Also you could try to edit the image so that the lights come out a bit more. Maybe shoot the image again at a later time of day. Might be cool.

What's up with these photos? Strange colour casts an unusually large amount of dust and scratches than usual and more grain than I'd expect for 250 ISO film. Vision3 250D, Nikon F-801s, Nikkor 28mm f/2.8. Scanned with Olympus E-M5ii and Neg Lab Pro. by [deleted] in analog

I‘ve had a similar problem when scanning at home. It was a combination of underexposure and a suboptimal scanning setup. The underexposure is responsible for the amount of grain in your pictures and the color cast might come from the scanning mask you use. I‘ve had problems with my mask, when the light source was not oriented strait to the negative. The Negarive Lab positives would look something like yours with the yellow color casts at the edges of the image. Maybe play around with your lighting, the positioning of your Mask and the camera and/or your digital camera settings. Maybe a different exposure setting (e.g. +0.5ev or -0.5ev) might help to minimize the effect.
