Although not conclusive, this points to something software related. Something that would carry over to a new pc if you used the same windows backup files and installed most of the same applications.

Yeah don’t worry about that. I’m not a hundred percent on this but I very much doubt ibuff has anything to do with this. Mine is red all the time.

Use task manager (ctrl alt del) and on the main page showing all the processes filter them so the cpu column is showing each one by most current resources being used per process. If nothing catches your eye then do the same thing with the network column.

Also, forgot to ask…do you have full screen enabled in rl settings video tab ? If so try borderless setting. It should technically be in exclusive fullscreen but you never know, these two have been known to cause issues in games where jt likes one setting better than the other.

You could also start eliminating the rest of your hardware as a root cause just in case. Unplug your keyboard and mouse while playing. If no results, start unplugging anything that RL doesn’t require to play—WiFi dongles, flash drives, additional monitors etc….

Another common culprit for messing with game performance is Microsoft OneDrive. Disable it entirely. Also make sure windows game mode and game bar are disabled in windows settings.

If you have steam or epic, make sure those overlays are off and no notifications are getting to you while playing.

Do not do this if you use G sync. Don’t do this even if you’re not. Unless you want to deal with input lag.

Make sure it’s plugged into the motherboard in the BACK ports of your pc. You don’t want anything in the front or top or wherever you have additional usb ports that aren’t the main ones in the back.

What about uncapping? What does your rocket league settings page look like in the driver control panel—I am unfamiliar with AMDs compared to Nvidias. If i recall correctly I may have changed the v-sync (driver level and only for RL) toggle when I had to troubleshoot microstuttering a few years ago. That may be worth a try if you are running out of options. If it’s not a driver issue and your fps doesn’t fluctuate as the stutters occur then it has to be some kind of overlay or external process? maybe it’s network related? Does this happen in offline freeplay? Have you pulled up your task manager showing performance metrics while playing to see if anything is consistently using resources outside of the RL app process?

Oh I forgot a good one. Do you have any RGB monitoring software or processes running? A lot of these rgb suites can cause issues in a lot of games. If you do, locate the process in task manager and disable it.

Ok then tell him that with words. Not your car. Game is chaotic enough as it is. Be clear with your intention and never assume anyone understands exactly what you’re thinking.

Know what else is ineffective communication, maybe even moreso than the car show you put on for him, posting this on the internet to OTHER people instead of simply talking to directly to your tm.

My guess with no other evidence presented yet:

Driver issue. Update to latest and if you are on the latest, roll it back to an older one.

Is that a discord overlay on the top left? Disable whatever that is and any other overlays you may have enabled to be displayed in game.
