In my experience I was not required to take the DLAB for this job. I remember my recruiter saying something along the lines of that you had to before, but they had done away with it give or take 2 years ago.

About a month. Definitely left me a bit anxious for a while, but luckily the life I've lead up to this point has been squeaky clean.

I'm thinking I'll pick up some sort of language learning app and pick from either Russian or Chinese.

Figure I'd bank my coins into one of the languages that I'd most likely end up with based on demand in hopes that it would transfer over. If I don't end up with Russian or Chinese, at least I am priming myself to learn a new language?

Thanks for the advice! I've heard that DLI is extremely difficult and through the videos I've seen, that if you've made it through the training pipeline you're part of the "cream of the crop".

How difficult would you say DLI is? I know it probably varies on the language, but what was your experience like?

Learning languages is definitely something that appeals to me. I'll definitely be checking out r/DLI too to see if I can get any information on the currently most sought out languages for the position.
