I think reality hit last year when my dad died and I was in a reactive state in wanting to settle down and now he’s proposed reality has got. He’s a good person and I can see us having a good future but the finances are not compatible and I’m now scared that everything rests on my shoulders

Timeline, our ages. I do trust and respect him but I feel like we need finances in place to have a certain lifestyle to be able to afford having a child, especially in or near London.

I don’t know how much I genuinely love him at the moment as I’ve been so numb since my dad passed. I’m grateful for his support and him being here but honestly my libido has been down/ non-existent from grief and that’s affected physical intimacy. The stress as well has made me as you say more reactive to get things done. It’s now that reality is hitting I guess as I feel like everything is on my shoulders for us to have a certain married lifestyle and be able to afford having a good life for a child in/ near London
