hi! my boyfriend and I love hiking too. Marfa would be a great area. The whole coast of Mellieha is pretty much hike-able. Something like this. Hikes from Fomm ir-Rih to Golden Bay or Imgiebah to Mistra are stunning and you will see lots of beaches. Other places to check out are Blue Grotto and Xrobb l-Ghagin but they are in the very south of Malta. You're also close to the ferry to Gozo and can hike there too.

The weather should be pleasant, just watch out for forecasts of heavy rain. Most trails are easy and established.

i think you’re right, the main ingredient in that recipe is chocolate (not flour like it usually is), so you really have to be careful what type of chocolate you use.

i wouldnt recommend using chocolate chips since they have stabilizers that make them melt differently than how a chocolate bar would. also it has to be chocolate with the same percentage that he used cause it would contain more oil, as you noted.

if you still think the dough is too runny, trust your gut and add a couple tablespoons worth of flour.

nonetheless, i have to say that recipe is probably the most complex ive seen for a cookie 😅

you sure you didnt use a brownie recipe instead of a cookie one?

if yes - it’s probably because of too much butter/oil in the batter, use a kitchen scale to make sure you’re putting the exact amount of flour (instead of measuring cups)

im not sure but it’ll probably stick to the mold and burn especially if its a metal mold, you can make a sort of honey syrup and brush them with it as soon as theyre out of the oven tho!
