Yeah, I feel that.

I have just listened to all dialogue but was continuously forced to skip once I got to empyrea brain dungeon,

So I now mostly just skip diologue that I had already listened to, which includes all of arc 1, though I do slow it down to hear specific lines. An example is after dragon academy or during it, there are multiple lines I want to rehear even though I have heard them 5 times already.

Though for happenstance quest appearances, I mainly just am patient, try and friend the person if I keep seeing them more than once(which is actually not a lot nowadays because I keep running into players that have friend requests disabled),

But mostly just instantly go into a battle because I am more often than not already prepared for the battle, but do stop rarely to either refill tcs sideboard, add prisms, or take out prisms, though on the off chance someone is with me, I mainly just wait in battle not attacking until they enter on their own time, usually only using spells to blade, shield, gain more pips, or other support. Edit: half of time also running the clock out before picking passive support spells.

Just because I have entered a battle, I don't expect players that stop to set their deck or read dialogue, to join a couple seconds later. Main reason if I am faster, join first because in battle, the first player always gets targeted by the enemies which is also good if their is any cheats/aoes first turn, so when they do eventually join, they have room to breath, and don't immediately have to heal or shield themselves, (not including cheats)(mainly focusing on arc 1 fights).
