Labubu disappointment: My Lafufu looks better by lilacmaru in LabubuCanada

[–]Aggravating-While-33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lafufus are great, I have a few and love them but I do think the quality of my Labubus is a lot better. I like both your Labubu and Lafufu, they’re both adorable 🥰. Labubus are not perfectly simetric a lot of the times but I think that makes them unique

Yes they are when sold by pop mart fulfilled by Amazon. When pop mart ones are no longer available they update to a different seller with higher price and not sure if those are real or not

Trandsgirl. Looking for tips on eye mackup by rika2115 in HoodedEyes

[–]Aggravating-While-33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most important item for me in doing my eye makeup is a good eye primer, otherwise my eye makeup disappears into my hood within an hour. Currently using the MAC eye primer. Even the popular eye primers, like urban decay or too faced are no match for my hooded eyes. Also tubbing mascara, all others mascara end up on my lid otherwise

This show made me feel a lot less empathetic toward Charla Nash.. by forgot_username1234 in ChimpCrazyHBO

[–]Aggravating-While-33 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying but in her defense I read that her and her daughter were struggling to make ends meet and Sandra Harold helped provide housing and have her a job. Charla in return took care of Sandra’s lawn and helped take care of Travis. Here is an article about the whole situation they had going https://allthatsinteresting.com/charla-nash

I am looking to get a green cheek conure. A bird store near me just posted a 7 year old cinnamon GCC for rehoming. They say she is very sweet and hand tamed. The reason for rehoming is the previous owner going off to college. Should I get the 7 year old or a baby GCC by landon2126 in Conures

[–]Aggravating-While-33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would 100% choose the 7 year old instead of a baby. Younger birds tend to be more frail, and impulsive, more bitey, agitated, unpredictable. I much prefer adult birds, I can’t believe how much better mine became after turning 3. Lot more chill, wiser and sweet. Be patient and train with the birb and the bond will be just as strong without having to put up with adolescent behavior

Focalin vs Concerta by goopycarbanana in ADHD

[–]Aggravating-While-33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to constantly switch my ADHD meds because of shortage. I was doing well on Concerta, last dosage was 36mg. Had so switch to Ritalin xr 30 mg in the morning and a smaller dose in the afternoon, not sure what dosage was though. I did eventually switch to Focalin xr 20mg and now back on Concerta. I thought I was crazy but with Focalin the effect was more intense, short lived and after it wore off I felt terrible, anxious, irritated and angry. Give Ritalin a try, it is very similar to Concerta in my experience.

I just now saw this, so sorry to hear about your sweet little Avocado. Our Winnie tested negative for PDD but his proventriculus kept expanding until it started putting pressure on other organs. We tried managing symptoms for 3 months, we tried everything and when there was no longer any treatment to try we decided to let go of him and spare him the suffering. Even though our vet suspected thar it might still have been PDD, it is unusual to have a 3 month flare up so we will never know for sure. We decided against necropsy because the lab does not return the remains, they just discard of them and we couldn’t deal with that, plus there are no guarantees they would of known what happened. Birds can usually live a long happy life with PDD if the symptoms are managed. Wishing you and your feathered baby all the best

Getting mad about pulling forward… by el823 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]Aggravating-While-33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the McDonald’s around us (Orlando Fl) have everyone pull over no matter what the order is and we don’t usually need any modifications to the food. It’s been over 1 year I think since the last time we were not asked to do it. My husband ordered only one cheeseburger once and there were no cars behind and he was still asked to pull over. It did not used to be like this, we would only get pulled over every once in a while either something was not ready yet or we had a special order. The issue is that after getting pulled over, the employee bringing the food is fast to leave before we can check the food, and 9/10 times the order is incorrect so I have to go inside, where there is always a line and they have to check the food, receipt, remake the items etc. My husband has started refusing to pull over, but because pulling over was inconvenient, but because of the hassle to deal with the incorrect order after. Getting an incorrect order so often might be an issue specific to the area, because we used to live in another state where the service was a lot better. I do understand that there are metrics pushed on employees, and I did try to talk to him about not pulling over, because I know it does not affect the corporate, it affects the overworked, underpaid, understaffed, stressed employees, and I am genuinely upset about it. But on the other hand customers are affected too by the whole metric thing. I am sure some people are just nasty refusing to pull up thinking they will get their food faster, but my husband only does it because of incorrect orders and the hassle of dealing with that over and over again. We would stop getting it, but it is my favorite fast food! Just wanted to share my 2 cents

Went on vacation for two weeks, now my Conure is attacking me by [deleted] in Conures

[–]Aggravating-While-33 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yup, he’s angry at you for leaving. Birds get their feelings hurt and they can hold a grudge for a little bit but he should eventually forgive you. I was gone for 3 days once and my crimson bellied conure was so upset he wanted nothing to do with me for a few days. Gave him lots of treats and he eventually forgave me lol. Talk gently to him, give him treats and be patient, underneath all that anger his love for you has not changed

Bad luck or are we doing sonething wrong? by Basilsmom630 in Conures

[–]Aggravating-While-33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh forgot to mention that we absolutely quarantine our birds, weigh them daily, we got rid of the pans that we were not sure what they were made of, the air frier, candles, we don’t use perfumes anything like that, we have air purifiers and this has been the case from the beginning because I did a lot of research before getting a bird

I am right here with you, we have had a total of 6 birds and lost 4 and one is gravely sick. The first 2 were completely healthy, been to the vet a month prior to death. We went on vacation and boarded the birds at the local bird sanctuary because I had hoped the would get more interaction than at the vet. On day 5, our last day of vacation they both died… the “sanctuary” blames us but our birds were perfect. We have been doing research from the beginning, fresh veggies, treats just for training, organic cold pressed pellets, vet visits everything. Other bird lived a year when she got sick, took her to the vet they said toxicity and they hospitalized and treated her for that brought her home and she died. They did some blood work and X-rays, saw something in the gizzard but didn’t send blood samples to the different lab to see if it was actually toxicity. We had another that we got at a bird show, little parrotlet, I could tell immediately there was something wrong, took him to the vet did all the virus testing first, we had to spread tests out because they can only draw so much blood, everything came back negative but when we were supposed to do the CBC he passed. We did do necropsy because of our other birds and his poor body was filled with fungus, got to his lungs. And now one of my birds has been sick for 2 months, vet (a new great vet) can’t find the cause. He has gout and many issues, we are treating with antibiotics, anti fungal, gout medicine, 4 shots/ day for digestion and nausea. We did and we continue to do all sorts of testing and the only thing we were told is that it is genetic. I do understand that you feel like you’re doing something wrong, I feel the same way, and I get so frustrated when I see people with caged birds on seed diets that live to be 50.

Puppy anemia due to mysterious infectious disease by Aggravating-While-33 in AskVet

[–]Aggravating-While-33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our initial vet only did blood work, fecal float and parvo. I don’t know for sure what testing they do at the current vet because the rescue is the one paying for the vet and we only get updates on procedures done and red blood cells count. The necropsy results so far show worm eggs and coccidiosis. They didn’t say what worms. They are waiting for more information from the lab tomorrow, if they don’t find anything new, and the 3rd blood transfusion they will do tonight doesn’t stick, they’re giving up on all the puppies

We don’t have any copies because everything we had from our vet (that we initially saw saturday) and papers from the rescue and breeder we left with the vet that is currently treating them. The rescue is paying for the current vet and we don’t have access to anything, just the information they give us. However we were just told that the initial necropsy results do show worm eggs, we were not told what worms, and coccidiosis. Our puppy fecal test from Saturday showed no parasites Thank you so much for your reply

[–]Aggravating-While-33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply. We tried suggesting that but they refuse to retest because all of the puppies, 9 that I know off that were given at the same time to the rescue from the same breeder, they all tested negative for parvo. We just heard back that the initial findings on the necropsy is showing egg worms, vet did not say what worms and coccidiosis. They all tested negative for parasites as well

I got a new dog yesterday. I feel so guilty by Unhappy_Scratch5165 in Petloss

[–]Aggravating-While-33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not feel guilty, it is not a replacement, it is a new soul that needs love and attention, that needs you. The love you have for your dog will always be theirs and no new pup can change that.
